A Ragnar a year sounds like a great plan. The a few of our team members I ran with in Las Vegas last year had run a few Ragnars and a variety of other similar relays in various states. One guy in particular had run 3 last year and over 7 total Ragnars. It's just a fun thing to do and a great way to see and experience places you've never been to, and do it with some of the funnest people around. :)

Wish I had the time and money to do more!

My new plan is to run a different Ragnar each year. What a great way to see the country, right?

I've run Ragner Northwest Passage twice - what a fantastic race! It is my favorite relay by far (and I've run a few). I love the attitude of fun that the Ragnar organizers support. Last year's relay included a lot of teams in costume, including "Lord of the Ragnar" - absolutely hilarious!
I hope to run some other Ragnar relays - the Napa and SoCal look like so much fun!

I ran in the Florida Keys in January and made a vaca out of it. I have a friend who lives in Miami, so I stayed with her, which helped keep some of the price down. And honestly, being from the northeast, going to Florida and running in January was WONDERFUL!

I'm also organizing a team for the PA Ragnar in October, and since I live right in PA, and we have a big conversion van, this race will be much cheaper.

I just signed up to volunteer for Ragner SoCal. I've already run it once, I can't really afford to run it again, and I know how fun it is to be involved at all. So I'll be roadside yelling and cheering for the runners!

Two years ago I almost ran Ragnar Las Vegas AND the Red Rock Relay. Was the same people for both races and they all pulled out, so both fell thru and I ended up doing neither.

Las Vegas is changing their route for this year and I really want to do the new route - since it's on the forest I work in - but I promised my wife I would wait a year or two and save some money.

Maybe someone will offer to pay my entry fee for me. If you know anyone who needs a runner and is willing to pay my entry fee, by all means, hook me up!

I have run two, both in Phoenix. I'm from Utah, where this craziness all began, and it seems like everyone is running Wasatch Back. So far I haven't been invited to this one, and I'm not sure I want to organize a whole team. Maybe someday! I suspect my team will return to Del Sol for the third year next February.

I've run two, SoCal in 2011 and Del Sol in 2012.

It is expensive, but I've stayed with friends the night before to reduce hotel costs, and food and supplies have been van-shared.

I just love it, though. It's a big event that lasts for two full days, so it feels worth it to me to spend the extra money. If I could, I would run the entire series in a year. *lol*

I have done 2. Bot the Arizona Del Sol. Last year and this year.It does get pricey. That is the big issue with possibly running vegas.
It is addicting though. It was hard and I am really sore but ha a blast and ready for next year.

So far, I've only run one. I was invited to run the SoCal Ragnar in April, but it conflicts with two other races I've already signed up for.

Well, that, and they are also really expensive.

Just the initial sign-up fees are $100 at the minimum, assuming you get the earliest entry fee. I am running my two half marathons in April for $55 a piece. And Ragnar includes all those other expenses, too. I think I paid over $200 in total for Ragnar Las Vegas, and I'm local.

So, my question is, how can you afford to run more than one or two a year? I'd love to run another, but I can't justify the expense when the cost would cover 3 or 4 other races, and I usually only run 3 to 5 races a year.
