Are there any yoga moves in particular that are most useful for the lungs?

I would try to do some sort of yoga. Yoga is meant to help open your lungs, all while working on strength, balance and some core. That's been helping me with my asthma.

When my asthma is bad I generally ride a bike- it doesn't seem to aggravate my asthma as much as other cardio does.

Brisk walking is ideal for asthmatics since it doesn't aggravate the condition. Get into a steady walking routine and progressively increase the pace so that you can keep your heart rate elevated. Elevated heart rate will expand lung & heart volume and increase your overall cardio-vascular fitnesses. For determining your ideal intensity, please refer to www.sparkpeople.com/resource/fitness

I just had bad asthma and went to the doctor who gave me Cipro 500mg & predisone and has order Advair & Singular for me.

I am getting much better now, but, now I am wearing out easily. She told me that my Allergies were not helping my asthma. Are there any exercises I can do to strengthen my lungs?

Tammy
