I have exercise-induced asthma too...My doctor recommends SWIMMING as it tones, strengthens and helps the asthma patient shed pounds without putting too much strain on the lungs. Unfortunately, we don't have a pool yet. :( Until then, I alternate walking in place (with my rescue inhaler in my pocket!!!) with riding a stationary exercise bike. I can't go more than five minutes at a time right now due to severe asthma & COPD, but it's a start. I wish you every success & I hope you find a fitness routine that works for you without exacerbating your condition.
