Thanks!

Today I realized I haven't been taking one of my antidepressants for a week and with it went my depression. What's up with that? Don't care but I'm so active that I have to use my inhaler more. But, I keep forgetting to eat and getting sore from activity. All good things!

Have a great day!

clean your AC filter regularly as it catches dust and icky stuff. I have bad sinuses and have had surgery-every sinus infection used to cause an attack but it is completeely better during infections now

Thank you...I have an appt. with the pulmonologist, but not until Aug. :( My family doc is also sending me to the ENT doc to see if something is structurally wrong with my sinuses. I use AC and that's what triggered it this time...I am weird! Thanks again its nice to know that there is others out there experiencing similar things.

JHRCVT, welcome to the team. I would have to agree with GRACIE0204, you need to see a specialist if you are getting sick that often. Keep us posted as to how things are going.

Bummer, I am sure you are discouraged! Do you see or talk to your doc as soon as you feel it coming on? The earlier you catch it the better off you are. I am assuming you are on meds for prevention and daily care (since you are on a lot of meds). Do you see an allergist or pulmonologist to help or just your family doc? If you are just seeing you regular doc I would aske to see the specialist. I also would make a list of your triggers and you symptoms that come along with feeling it coming on. I would also make sure that you are using air conditioning in the heat. Sorry I have no immediate solutions or answers. What does your doc say about this?

Hi team,
I haven't stopped by since March 23rd. You probably thought I had dropped off the face of the earth. Surprise! The leg is out of the immobilizer but it is not healed. It hurts just as much now as when I first broke it. However, that is not my biggest problem. The doctors have found a metastatic cancerous tumor at the T-10 level of my spine. This means that it was spawned from a primary tumor somewhere else in my body. After exhausitve scans and CTs they can't find it because it must be too small. Primary tumors can be as small as 4 cells and still spawn metastatic tumors throughout the body. It's possible the primary tumor may never be found. In the meantime a neurosurgeon will do a surgical biospy of the tumor the first part of July to determine just what kind of cancer we're dealing with. Oh well -- this is in God's hands now.

I have to keep mine colder to help me breath easier in my home but don't freeze out hubby by no means. Sue I know all about them sinuses too because last weekend was awful for me. I was coughing and blowing my nose right an left and when I coughed I had to go to the bathroom every time due to the baby. That gets old real fast. I pray all of you get to feeling better soon.

Today it's cold and raining. My chihuahuas don't want to put their feet down. It's so funny to watch them try to do their business. lol

I hadn't considered what the pressure could be doing to my sinuses. AC doesn't give me headaches unless I've been in an office building where they keep it very cold. My AC is always set at 76F.

We don't have air conditioning in our home, and usually it's okay, but when the temp gets up in the 90's I have problems, and also when the humidity is very high. If it gets too bad during the day, I just go out to my van (which has AC) or go to the mall and hang out for awhile. AC is okay, but it gives me a real bad headache...so it's kind of six of one- half a dozen of the other.

Hope you all get your AC fixed and running.

I too have to keep the air going at all times just due to the humidity in the air around here. I am really struggling these past few days and really staying close to the air. It's been close to 90 around here so it's been miserable. Humidity is also my biggest problem along with allergens in the air. Good luck and hope he comes soon.

The central air/heater fan isn't working. That's the problem. But I do have 2 great fans and ceiling fans to keep the air moving. The pollen is getting me but I'm worried that humidity will come before the AC repairman. Humidity is my big wheezer.

Have a great week!

Thank God for AC. I used the whole house fan recently when the weather was just changing from cool to warm. Those 2 hours with the fan on to cool the house cost me weeks of wheezing. The air is on most nights now and will be until fall and that's the way it has to be. We'll cut back in some other way to afford it for sure. I will pray for breathing relief for all of you during this season. Make it a great week, everyone.

I went out by myself for the first time in years, walked uptown to the thriftshop, spent 50 cents. Woohoo! Joints gave me a bit of a hard time getting uphill but otherwise I was good. My asthma's been acting up at night, I think because of the pollen.

Landlord said today he's been in contact with someone to fix air conditioner so I'll be able to close the windows soon. AC weather is my best time of year for asthma.

Hope you're having a great week!

I'm sure all the lakes and things have a lot to do with your humidity. Congratulations on going out on your own. It will get easier every time you go out. I am praying that God will give you the strength to go on as you did before. He is a great God!. Do you get asthma from stress? You might be feeling a little tight because of going out and about by yourself??
Just keep taking one day at a time.

Ugh it is humid here today as well. It stormed last night but is sunny and muggy out now. I went out for the first time since my surgery in public with people I know-other than church yesterday. It didn't bother me much to go out in public with my mom and sister in my hometown because very few people knew. It was a little more challenging being in my own territory where people know me and know how I looked. Feeling just a little self-consciuos about being in public. The asthma has started up a little today but this is really the first time since anesthesia-so 2 weeks isn't bad-especially in the midst of the onset of allergy season and I live in one of the top ten cities that are the worst for allergy and asthma (Madison, WI). People laugh when I tell them that-they can't really believe it. I tell them believe it!! I don't know if it is because we are surrounded by lakes and have very fertile soil so every plant does well??? Whatever it is I'd be happy if it changed. I know not too likely.

I hope everyone has a great day!!

For me the rain usually brings on a migraine for me. I have had to take demerol for them while I have been pregnant to help keep them under control. I too would love to have the low humidity days as well. My sinuses have settled down in my chest and the coughing is driving me nuts. I hope it goes away soon.

Right now it is 60, and we are shooting for a high of 72, with partly cloudy skies and then again tomorrow RAIN...surprise!!! It rains every other day, which is hard on the asthma too. (not as bad as that humidity, though). I am ready for warm, sunny, low humidity days!!
