Good idea RUNNINGMOMMA35. It is a cardio workout, but it includes a lot of leg work. When I have a strength training session that include lower body exercises I don't do cardio that includes a lot of leg work. I love MMA kickboxing and Combat is great, but I balance it with boxing workouts that use mostly upper body movements. If my upper body is too sore for the boxing moves, I will do a fun cardio workout that uses dancing as cardio like Hip Hop abs... i get my cardio in and work the core at the same time, while resting my arms/legs. It's all about balance. Combat is a tough workout and if you run regularly you don't want to burnout.

I am loving Combat. I had started by doing it everyday but realized that it was a little to much, as I am training to run Boston. I decided that it is easier on my body if I do Combat every other day or days where my runs are under an hour. After Boston is done, I plan on doing the 60 day program...just in time for swimsuit season.

I love this series! I have always liked a workout to be intense, and if it was "fun", then it wasn't intense enough. This one is both and I LOVE IT!!! Guess between Combat and Insanity I have finally found my workout "match"...

Great job of sticking with it, if you can continue to exercise for 90 days it becomes a habit and not a chore and something you look forward to. I've been excersing for over 10 years straight now and wouldn't give it up for anything. Once you find something you love it a passion.

I am on week 3/day 4. The only other program I've ever stuck to this long was Turbo Fire and I lasted until week 4. Today's workout was HIIT Plyo. I like this one better than HIIT Power but it kills my left knee. I have to really be careful of some of the moves but I sometimes get a little ahead of myself and start jumping around more than I should. I'll have to book an appointment with my chiro (also my sister) to see if there are things I can do to make it better.

ANH102712 - I've been doing Combat 30 Live in place of Combat 45 since that workout was messed up on my dvd and I'm waiting for a replacement. I don't know which tracks specifically but I think there are a few repeat tracks from Combat 30. I wouldn't order it now, just follow the program and order it later if you're getting bored. $20 is a lot for one dvd that everyone else got for free. That really sucks!

Thats a bummer!!! I think its worth it. I switch them out every time.. but really if you have the program you can do it for a while then order it later! We as coaches dont like that there is beachbody and teambeachbody either!!!! always prder from your coach, or teambeachbody :) They are supposed to be working on merging the 2 from what I have heard :)

so tell me taren is combat 30 live worth 20 dollars. Im kind of mad at beachbody because they cheated me out of the workout because i ordered at beachbody instead of teambeachbody. I even wrote them a "review" about it and im guessing thy dont care. I thought it was the same site and it didnt matter. I guess i will know for next time!

I love love love combat though...its definitely in my top 3 and i would love to have 2 workouts that are 30 minutes.

I am SO psyched to start these! I've been doing Insanity for the past approx. 100 days (1.5 cycles), and ready for something completely different for a while. Of course, I have to kick my nasty head/chest cold first, but I've been watching the DVDs and trying to learn the moves. LOVE it!!!

It shows me to be at 1800 calories.. I would go with what the book says not going over 2100.. everyone will be different! I find myself hungrier! I havent been perfect with my food though! :( Getting there! Hard with the holidays! Im starting a cleanse tomorrow, so we will see with these tough workouts! But atleast on this one I get food and smoothies that have substance!! :) so I can always add a bit more protein if I am just way to hungry!!!

I preordered my combat a month ago, and got my cds couple weeks ago!!! The program looks amazing. I haven't started it yet but I'm planning to do it in January. I have to finish Chalean and Turbo Fire hybrid first.
I'm worried about nutrition with the Combat though, cause workouts seems really intense. Did anybody had to increase the calories or added supplements...etc?

This is such an awesome workout! I did the Ultimate Fighter workout today!! Talk about Fierce!!! Great workout! and I LOVE the Strength and Stretch dvd!!! It is PERFECT!!! Im in an AWESOME group on FB for the LMC workout! I love love love this series, I just ordered the strength and stretch dvds as well, I didn't see them available when I pre ordered this but I really want the core and stretch and will look at the strength as well. I am really enjoying the more precise moves and not all the dancey foot work like some other kickboxing dvds types. I also like that they are actually teaching you the correct way to throw the punches and the kickes and I'm really focused on correct form with these. It also helps I added mirrors to my downstair workout room which I will try to get hubby to help me hang this weekend. I use the mirrors for kettlebell training so that I can see if I'm using correct form or not. Very important. I did the 60 minute live since I'm not necessarily following the schedule with my kettlebell training and loved it. These are the best!!! I'm so glad I ordered this series.

Wow! Just got done with day 8 of my LMP/combat schedule. I did combat 30 and pump and burn today. I realise that i'm typing this right after my workout but there is some definition between my deltoid muscle and my bicep/tricep muscles. Also i think my legs are getting legs are getting more solid. It seems really fast for results, but i'll take it!

So i had this crazy idea a couple days ago that since i haven't done a complete round of Les mills pump and i got combat in the mail, I've decided to try to do them both, together. Its day 3 and i'm VERY sore! Out of combat i've done the combat 30 and HIIT:power workouts. Today is combat 45, which i will do this evening.

I really enjoyed combat 30 but oh my goodness was HIIT:power crazy fun. At least I really liked it. I used my barbell from LMP . It was an awesome workout. My neck, shoulders, and back are so sore. Along with combat 45 today i have pump challenge.

I am going to try and keep this schedule up at least over winter break and then hopefully they will have a hybrid made.

Hello!

I did get the strength/core/stretching dvd's but I haven't had a chance to look at them yet. I can and let you know what I think! I do like them b/c they are all less than 1/2 hour in length so that is perfect for morning.

All I can say is if they are 1/2 as good as the cardio workouts then they are worth it!

I watched Combat 30, Kata 45 and the Combat Fighter 60. I really really like the dvd's and they were so much better than I was even expecting. The music is great and I love the instructors. Rachel is really cool! And I like that they kind of tell you at the bottom of the screen what they are going to be doing! Definitely a pleasant surprise. I guess I just didn't know what to expect!

Are you going to start a round of it soon? I already have a group that I'm going to do TF/CLX with at the beginning of the year. But I'm thinking if I wanted to I can put some Combat workouts in there..instead of TF 45 do Combat 45.

The live was really fun! Its all intense! Lots of kicking!!! and punching!!!! of course Dan and Rach make it awesome as well!! They are funny and super fit!!!! It makes you challenge yourself!!! They both were great with lots of punching and kicking!!!!

I just got mine last night! I can't wait to look at some of the dvd's. I really want to start at the beginning of the year but I have a tf/clx team that I'm doing at least 12 weeks with. Maybe I will sub workouts in every now and then.
