Batace, I love all of those programs. I am getting ready to start a round of LM pump. You will have to let me know what you think of X2 if you get it. I liked it more than P90X, but they are both great programs.
Combat is so much fun. My fiance leaves though when i do that program because apparently i get really into it.

Hi, I'm new to sparkpeople and am loving Beachbody programs. I've completed P90X and loved it.
I'm now doing Les Mills Combat - finishing 1st week today. The workouts seem really short when you are used to 1hr+. I'm also thinking of doing P90X2 and I have Les Mill Pump arriving today - so really excited.

Hi, Just started BP and will be finishing up week 2. Love it! I'm doing this program as a type of Cross fit workout while on Hiatus from my running this Fall and Winter. no running but will be doing the BP instead. Though at first I wish they added the smaller weights like 2.5 lbs. because 5lbs sometimes seems too much, but now after 2 weeks the 5lbs are just about right. Hopefully I can start adding in a session of using the 10lbs but don't want to over do it.

I did this program at a local gym, enjoyed it, but I often felt intimidated use more weights, but wound up with tendonitis and had to quit the Gym BP program. So I decided to order it from my local BB coach and do it in home! at least i can work at it, at my own speed but I do keep up with the workouts on the DVD's. don't feel like I have to keep up with the rest of the group like I did at the Gym.

sounds great! Something that helps me stay motivated and keep myself accountable is posting in the "what workout did you do today" thread. You'll see that I post in there a lot. lol. It isn't generally everyday because lately i've been most of the posts in there, and to me that is weird, but you should post in there. We can push eachother. Yesterday, I started week 5 of combat which is the farthest i've gotten in any program since a year ago when i injured my foot.

Hi yall!!!! My name is tiffany and i just order les mill combat :) I haven't tried it or really know anything about it so I hope this is a wise choice :). I would love to join an accountablity group so i can force myself to stick with it...my wedding is in October and i would love to lose about 40 pounds :( hopefully i can. I have done Turbofire for a little bit but I always fall off the wagon when doing it alone.

Hi, I'm Jan and new to the group. I have been doing Les Mills Pump at home for a little while, then stopped over the holidays and getting started again. Did Pump & Burn this morning - feels good.

I did get the 3 ad on dvd's, I have attempted Step and Sports Attack - they are tough and cardio is not really my thing, but I WILL CONQUER them!!

I enjoy the classes and have done so for a couple of years, Sometimes I am the only man in class but have enver been treated any differently for the rest of the class.
My GF goes to Body Pump and Body Combat too.
We are actualy going to a Cristmas night out with a load of people from the gym we use most often - Easterhouse Sports Centre - this Friday Evening - and having shifted some flab I have a choice of DJs to wear !

The classes are so motivating. I literally give 100%, whereas at home I can pause the video and take a break. There is such a difference between the class in the morning and the class after work. More men in the later one.

You are right about the people being supportive... not just the instructor, but the whole class. It's not a typical day at the gym. No need to be self-conscious. And it's nice to know that there's someone watching me to make sure I don't hurt myself. Like a class where you have your own personal trainer. emoticon

Hi, Crisci. I started with the classes and loved them, unfortunately my schedule changed so I couldn't go anymore. Everyone was so supportive and I really felt like I'd worked out when I was done. (actually, I felt like I'd been run over by a dinosaur. But still...)

I hope in the 2 weeks since you posted you've been able to make a class!

I just got the Pump DVDs and just finished my first workout, the 20 minute challenge. It was tough!

Hi, everyone! My name is Tamara and I started using the Les Mills Pump DVDs about 3 weeks ago; absolutely LOVE it! I tried a BodyPump class at 24 Hour Fitness about 2 or 3 years ago and while I thought it was a great workout, the class schedule has never been convenient for me, so I haven't been able to do it again until now.

A few years ago, I lost 90 pounds, but unfortunately I've gained about 30 back, so I'm back to training harder and eating cleaner. When I saw the Les Mills Pump system, I knew it would be worth the extra cash and so far, it has been! This is one of very few workout programs that I'm actually excited to do and look forward to each week.

I haven't been following the workout calendar, but I'm still using the DVDs 3-4 times per week, in addition to 2 cardio days (mostly running). Despite gaining back some weight, I've still maintained an intermediate level of fitness, so the first few weeks of the calendar didn't seem like much of a challenge. I've been doing Pump and Shred quite a bit, Pump & Burn on days when I'm short on time, and on cardio days, I'll add on Hardcore Abs. I think this weekend I *might* be ready to try one of the 55 minute workouts.

After next pay-day, I'm ordering the 3 bonus DVDs, as they sound right up my alley. Glad to see there's a SparkTeam for this program- I'm absolutely obsessed!

Hi!!! I'm on week 3 of PUMP and LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!!! I've done p90x and 2 rounds of Chalean extreme (which I loved too!) BUT PUMP has been awesome! I'm doing TF HIIT on the "walk" days and adding Abripper x and Ab ripper X2.

Welcome!!! If you feel comfortable go for the heavier weights! If you can get through a set,and still feel like you could do more, then you need to go up in weights.. also if the bar hurts your shoulders,I wera a hoodie and the bar rest on the hood part.. I only wear it during lunges and squats! I love how they start slower, because I promise after almost being done with round 1(only 9 days left) Im glad I got a chance to build up my strength! Its a totally different workout!!! I cant get enough!!!! Good Luck!!! Pump on!!! :)

Hi everyone! I'm 55 years young and just finished Day 3 of LMP. So far I like it, still getting used to using a barbell after doing CLX - round 2 and using dumbbells. I used the 5 lb. weights, but already thinking of adding more weight since I was lifting a lot heavier in CLX. Just want to be sure I'm comfortable with the barbell and have the moves down correctly before I add more weight though. I did the STEP dvd the other day and it was a great workout. Really burns the legs and I didn't use any risers on my step! Definitely need to do this several more times before I can get through it without taking a break.

I have done TurboJam, TurboFire, CLX, TurboFire/CLX hybrid, Zumba, still doing Shaun T Rockin Body and now LMP. DVD workouts have come a long way since the days of just doing traditional floor exercises and aerobics to crappy music. So glad I'm still young enough to enjoy the new and better way to get fit!

Failure is NOT an option!

Hi there!! WElcome to the group!! Im glad I stuck with the schedule so I could build up to the Pump Extreme and Revolution dvd's.. It made a big difference in how much I was able to lift and plus I got the full effect of the program! I love it! Almost into round 2! really focusing on my eating! You can do it! Just focus and remember your 15 pound goal! tell yourself that 15lbs gone feels better than what bad thing you are going to eat!!

Hello, just found this group. I was up on the scale today and the weather has all of a sudden become warm in Northern Illinois so I really need to start pushing it!

I have the Les Mills Program and am currently doing Pump and Shred. I think I may go to the next workout today. I was able to skip the first DVD as I've done Cross fit in the past so already was familiar with using the bar.

I am 45 years old and would really like to be down 15lbs by my son's High School graduation. I love to exercise but also love to eat. There is my problem.

DROPONEONYAL~~ In my opinion, I think you should go for it!! get the full effect of the program!!! you might gain slightly, but I know of SEVERAL people who are dropping weight like crazy!! Be VERY didigent with your eating!! Muscle burns fat!! and you will Lose Inches too!!!! Go for it! you bought the program, might as well use it for te full effect :)

Hello everyone,

I am new to the les mills team. I ordered the program about three weeks ago and I find myself stuck on the STEP Aerobics (disk #8), because I love the workout. I have been a little scared to do the weights (REP effect) because I don't want to gain weight ( I am 253lbs, and have a long way to go). Any suggestions?

I just started week #2 today!!! I like it so far, but haven't done too much yet. I have done TurboFire, CLX, part of Insanity (didn't like it), and part of P90X (got bored, workouts too long), and I am training for my second marathon.
I was at my lowest recent weight and close to my goal right before Christmas, but have been struggling since and gained 15 pounds!:-( I work out a TON still, but can gain weight easily based on my diet!!:-(

Hey hey hey. I'm goin on month 3 and I'm super stoked still. Today is pump revolution and a kettlebells workout after. I'm on fire. I'm probably gonna do this workout program again when I'm done but start with month 2. It's such a breath of fresh air for me!!!!! I LOVE IT!
