Good Afternoon team, so since joining this challenge I've been on a mission to find healthier alternatives to satisfy my sweet tooth. This morning I was packing my lunch and for the first time actually looked at the package of 100 calorie cookies I was about to toss in my bag. 7 grams of sugar! 11 little bitty cookies, 100 calories, and 7 grams of sugar! I am happy to announce that upon my recent trip to the commissary I discovered chocolate rice cakes! For just 120 calories (yes, 20 more calories * 60 calories a piece* ) I can have two big rice cakes. As far as sugar goes, for both cakes I'm coming in at a 8 grams of sugar (4 grams a piece). The numbers seem higher but rice cakes are definitely better than cookies, more filling, larger, and I even prefer the taste... the best part? I don't feel guilty for eating chocolate! Isn't that nearly every girl's dream? :)
