That is so funny! LOL. I had to remove my daughter's furby batteries (several years ago). I have a small basket full of sweet memory provoking toys that I had as a child, silly putty, play doh, a mini etch a sketch, view master and reels etc. They are a real stress reliever for me because of the fond memories. I agree that popping toy is so nerve wrecking!
Come on everyone...I'm sure a lot of us, definitely me, loved those types of toys/games/gadgets. The next time they're playing with it think 'Ahhhh to be a kid!", take a deep breath and smile...you can almost feel the tension start to less and that's good for US! Hang in there!
You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face.
Mistakes are the portals of discovery.
Don't be afraid to give your best at what seemingly are small jobs. Every time you conquer one it makes you that much stronger. If you do the little jobs well, the big ones will tend to take care of themselves.
It is never too late to be what you might have been.
I think toy makers see what they can make to drive parents crazy. i still remember that toy from fisher price that had balls that when the kids pushed it popped like a popcorn popper. it was worse than scraping nails down the chalk board.
Every step forward is a victory, every step backward, a lesson, NOT a failure. I did not get where I am in a steady straight line. Plenty of steps back, a lot of realization that my sugar habit really caused some health issues and was worth working on getting rid of. I still have ups and downs and now I know more what to expect when my old habits come back. Every day can be day one and that's not a bad thing!
