emoticon Well day 2 over. Had lunch out with a friend. She ordered dessert and I didn't. I had 2 small tastes of hers and I was happy. Kind of felt empowering not to want more!!

I know . I havnt ate cookies in over a month !!
last night I got into the peanut butter cookies , I woke up I am at it again emoticon


My son brought them in the home for me . He knows I am on a no cookie program !!!

I know how you feel trying to cut down on the sugar. I am one of those people who has to give up completely. After a few days with no sugar or very very little I can stick to it. Hope you can stay strong and get back on track.

First day of no cakes/sweets. Rushing round getting ready to go out and things are not going well. Usually I would reach for a sugar rush but decided to visit SP instead in the hope that this craving will pass.
.
Really need to stay strong get my weight down or I can see problems down the line.

I know what you mean - it is so easy for me to consume sweets (and other goodies - chips, for instance) without even realizing what I am doing. As of Jan. 1st, I have decided to be mindful of my eating - I have managed two days in a row without snacking on sweets and eating without first thinking about it. I have decided this will be a one-day-at-a-time project to make it feel easier and make me think about each day as a challenge as opposed to feeling like I have a lifetime of deprivation ahead of me!

Lisa, I am with you. I found this team as I was snacking on a handful of chocolate covered pretzels. tomorrow, I take them ot the office for others, and TAME my out of control SWEET TOOTH!

As my name says, I am in Charge. I can do this. I gave up sweets for Lent, and it went fine. But I do love them. I am going to make a list of why I should not eat them, and keep track of what I eat that is sweet. If I have to write it down, I generally will put it down instead of putting it in my mouth.

Good luck to you and me and everyone in this challenge! I'm not even going to eat the last pretzel sitting next to me.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it!

Be the girl you were too lazy to be yesterday!

Welcome Lisa...it has not been uncommon in the past to just start eating sugar loaded food
for me and not even be aware...you are perfectly normal emoticon

I am making a conscious effort to be aware of what goes in my mouth..I just started 4 days ago... emoticon

I do not think eating sugar without thinking is strange. We have been conditioned all our lives that it is what we need and they have added it to so many foods to make them more appealing.
I would start by cutting back and trying to be aware of when and why you consume extra sugar.

I am sure you will be successful in the challenge

Hi Lisa,
I am like you - I don't want to eat sugar and then half-way through the cake, I think, "oh, I wasn't going to eat this". Really I don't think that I forget - I just choose not to remember. Sort of like selective listening made popular by husbands everywhere emoticon

I went to the movies last night and snuck in my 90 cal fiber brownie and didn't even want to get the raisinettes at the front. Planning the key.
