For the past 21 days I've been trying to do something positive to improve the way I've been eating. I've basically given up sugar of any kind. I don't drink sodas or eat desserts. I've been adding beans to every meal that I can and trying to exercise every day.

Don't be afraid to give your best at what seemingly are small jobs. Every time you conquer one it makes you that much stronger. If you do the little jobs well, the big ones will tend to take care of themselves.
It is never too late to be what you might have been.

ASCHNIPKE2 - thank you for posting this. I was just about to grab a diet soda. I know now that it will probably trigger the same thing for me. I do not want to start it up again....diet soda or sweets! It's just too tough to get back on track. I'm in the "zone" so why mess it up? Thanks again for sharing. It's great having you all here to share with.
I'm new to the sweet tooth challenge but not to spark people. I was doing so great for a whole month with no diet soda and no regular soda for almost 4 weeks and then I started to drink diet soda in moderation, no more than 2 a week. Now I have at least 3 a day and I can't seem to want to quit drinking it again. I really think that the diet soda is making me eat badly to. The fake sugar is making me crave carbs and sweets. I always want chips, ice cream, and cookies. I can't seem to get off of it. I want to and I tell myself that I will today and I end up not doing it. Then the next is the same thing. the last month Ive gained 2 pounds and maintained my current weight so it hasnt affected me drastically but I cant seem to get myself to eat healthy again and stay away from the soda. I dont know why this is so hard for me when the simplest solution is to just not have it and tadah! you are going to lose weight again. I guess really what I want from this is to find an answer for myself to why I am not doing the best I can at staying on track. Maybe with this challenge it will help me to be more accountable to my diet soda and sweets that I crave after I drink one. The hardest thing I have with sweets around me is when I am by myself. I can fight a craving and not eat anything bad infront of other poeple.
