My Detox plan. I just did a 10 day sugar detox myself. Then just one fruit/day for 1 week. Recently I have added one more fruit or one small square of dark chocolate (50 cal, 73% dark). I think I'll stay here for one week and check my numbers after a week. Lost weight the first 3 weeks. If I stop losing, I'll drop the second one and go back 1 step.

I am on a special diet of vitamins. My body doesnt have vitamin d so the dr has me on has me on high doeses vitamin d. And im get a vitamin b shot 2xs a month.lol not trying to whine or drown you out. Its good you found what works for you. emoticon

YAY to you!! Sounds great! Just been reading drinking green tea, little bit of honey and taking vitamin C also helps but a stop to those cravings. Yesterday made some green tea, had it on ice and today made raspberry and lemon tea and had that on ice. Along with my vitamin C, I have to say, didn't have cravings during the day but also made myself be busier than usual. Tonight my daughter took frozen blueberries, ice and a little bit of my raspberry/.lemon tea, bleneded it and had a great little smoothie. Course you could add a bit of honey but I opted out on that part.

Beleave it or not my sweet cravig hasnt reared its nasty head the last 2 days. Im a breakfest but seldom do i take the time with it like the last 2 days. Normally i do overnight oats. I get up stumble to fridge an grab my bowl. So im thinking i def need to keep this change going. emoticon

I also wait until the evening to have a planned sweet treat, and sometimes by then the craving has passed and I don't even want it anymore.

I like your idea about waiting for the treat in the evening. I think I will try that. Thanks.

The journey may be rough and rocky but the view when I get there is going to be awsome!

See this. And I find that if I plan for a piece of dark chocolate/ fruit custard/ something sweet and healthy every night.. I can wait for it all day, and satisfy any cravings as well. This works well in the long term.

No apologies are necessary. I understand your hurt too. It's hard when there are problems within family, harder more to lose family member. I'll pray that you and your dad will come to terms and put aside those hurts and move to heal. I know how difficult it is also, to live so far away from family. Please try to move towards connecting with your family once again. Whether your there with them or not doesn't matter, you can be with them many other ways.

Hi,

Just joined the sugar challenge! After losing my dad last August, can't seem to get a way from the naughty sugar foods and drinks.

I read on the questions if I'd ever done a sugar detox, I would love to do one. Any suggestions as to how I do this?
