I'm still having major problems with hip pain from spinal bone spurs and degenerated discs. Doctors have tried various spinal injections, but nothing is providing relief. Strength exercises have just about disappeared from my routine (hurts too much) but am attempting to maintain cardio. Present to myself for not giving up has been a fitbit ultra - tracks steps, calories, flights of stairs, sleep hours, etc. with no rocket science programming - love it! Searching for an answer to the pain, but have no intention of folding.

After a long period of recuperation following a back spasm leading to sciatica, I'm feeling better. I plan to work out tomorrow. Hope everyone else is doing well. Thanks for posting Car. I wish others would post their minutes to inspire us all to work out more often!

I've been out of SparkPeople for a few months because of a back injury. I lost all motivation, I guess. But I'm trying again to become stronger and to lose a few pounds, including the 4 I regained while off the program.

Yesterday:
20 minutes yoga
30 minutes walking the dog

Today:
20 minutes yoga
15 minutes hiking
15 minutes heavy cleaning

I've been on a fitness roller coaster for the past 18 months (post bc treatment) trying to get my body to accept any of the aromatase inhibitors my doctors were prescribing. After more negative side effects than I felt bearable, I've now stopped taking them all and am working on getting my body back in shape and feeling up to exercise again. This month (March) I put in just over 400 miles on my stationary bike, but wastoo fatigued to honor my strength committment at the gym.As of April 1, I'll start posting my minutes and activities.
