Take the increase in fitness as slow as you need to. Better to be safe and slow than injured and doing nothing. You had a good start to the weight loss, plateaus happen. Stick with it and it will work out.

Weight before leaving Long Island( about 5 weeks ago): 205
Weight when I started with Sparkpeople (12 days ago): 196
Todays weight: 196

I have plateaued for the past 2 weeks. This past weekend didn't help with the overtake in calories. Looking to bounce back today and stay on track. Will step up my fitness as soon as my body allows me to push further.

Finally got my butt on the scale again this morning and I was very happy with the results. 190.2 lbs! I finally started losing weight again, hopefully I busted through this plateau and will continue to lose.

It was a rough week for me last week. Down 4 lbs this week. Total (since July 3 2011) 104.5 lbs. So, I lost all but 1/2 lb of what I gained.

I hate the scale right now. I can't get the needle to move down. My weight is way up and no matter how my clothes fit or how I feel I can't help but be discouraged by the number on the scale. Maybe I need to get my body fat measured so I can see if it is indeed muscle gain or what. Ugh!

I wouldn't worry. It's not just about the numbers on the scale. It could be muscle or maybe just a temporary plateu....Just keep doing what you're doing it will come into place. As long as your clothes are fitting fine. They say to use the way your clothes fit as a reminder too not just the scale....

My weight is all over the place. On Tuesday when I weighed in the scale said 195. I don't get it. I am watching what I eat and exercising like crazy. My clothes still fit fine, so some people are suggesting muscle mass, but that seems like a lot of muscle in a short time. I'm not giving up by any stretch, but I'm very frustrated because I've been skipping out on a lot of holiday foods and working out hard and the results are not what I expected or hoped for.

I didn't weigh in last week... I was off from work, away from the boards and I forgot. I did however weigh in this morning and even with Thanksgiving and all I lost one pound! My starting weight was 297, my current weight is 187!
