I am excited to see someone post here again!!!!

I rode my bike this morning... and just came back from a walk with a friend. rarely have someone to walk with because i walk slow. i will go back outside and walk near my apartment to see the sunset.

Congrats, Debblo on your mall walk...

Lindypower, I just checked you pics and blog from camping experience... what a courageous soul you are!!! sorry about the interrupting health issue....

I walked the dog then read the newspaper while riding my stationery bike. Have committed to doing minimum 10 minutes of exercise a day. Doesn't sound like much, but I have been very bad about exercising at all. Starting small and build on that! emoticon

Did a long brick workout this weekend, about 45 minutes running, then 90 minutes on the bike and then 45 minutes running again. That was Saturday. Sunday I couldn't move... LOL!

This morning was a running day, cruise intervals. I warmed up for a mile then ran at about 70% of my max heart rate for 12 minutes, then recovered for 3 minutes. I did that for 3 cycles, then cool down and stretch. Running was about 7 miles in 60 minutes. Tomorrow is a bike day.

Ran about 7 miles this morning in 60 minutes. It was a hard workout, but I was able to complete it so I am happy with that. We'll see how I feel throughout the day and tomorrow though!

Today I did not work out but Monday and Wednesday I ran about 6 miles each day and Tuesday I rode my bike for 32 miles.

EastEndClam... where do you go in open water? I need to get some open water swimming in in order to prep for a triathlon at the end of July.

Today was a swim day, 4 x 400m in 7:30 with 1 min 45 seconds between sets, plus warm up and cool down. Also about 30 minutes of weights in the gym.

Yesterday was the Long Island half-marathon... I finished in 1:49:55, better than last year by more than 6 minutes!

Yesterday was a bike ride... for the first time I rode my bike on the Bethpage Bike path. Nice path, about 7 miles from where it starts in the picnic area to Sunrise Hwy. It goes a little beyond that but I had to turn around and head back. Bad thing is that my car key fell out of my bike bag while I was riding. Had to have my fiance come and rescue me with a spare key.

17 mile bike ride this morning in a little over an hour. It was chilly! My hands were frozen by the time I was done, next time I'll opt for the thicker gloves!

This weekend was up and down as far as workouts go. I did my LONG workout on Saturday, rode the bike for 75 minutes (21 miles) and I ran for 75 minutes (a little over 9 miles). Sunday I did squat. I was supposed to go for an easy bike ride for 45 minutes just to stretch my legs out and get the blood flowing to ease recovery from the previous day, but I bailed. I did however practice my triathlon bike mounts and dismounts for a little while. I wonder what the neighbors think of me after I spent an hour hopping on and off my bike in front of the house with and without shoes on!

5 mile run this morning with several "pick-ups" (20 - 30 second bursts of faster than my 5k pace). Riding the bike for 30 minutes at lunch today also.

walked on lunch x45 mins..also ran into rite aid to get a few things..2 birds with one stone!

When we come to the edge of the light we know, and are about to step off into the darkness of the unknown, of this we can be sure...either God will provide something solid to stand on or...we will be taught to fly.

I ran about 4 miles yesteday on my lunch break and this morning I did an hour on the bike (on a trainer in my bedroom). It's time to get that bike out on the road now that the weather is warming up!

Saturday was 22 miles on the bike, Sunday was a brick workout (23.5 miles on the bike and 8 mile run). This morning was 1650m in the pool!
