Did you use regular rice or instant rice?

Most crock pot recipes use instant rice. Try that!

Hey everyone!
this is my first post on this team so please be gentle! hehe. I purchased my slow cooker at the start of the year and there are still a few things I'm trying to get the hang of. Last night I attempted to make Crockpot Chinese Chicken with Rice from http://recipes.sparkpeople.com/recipe-deta
il.asp?recipe=113712 . the recipe calls for rice to be put in on high for half an hour. i did this, it didn't seem to want to play ball. i ended up cooking the rice for over an hour. this is my second attempt with rice, is there some trick I'm missing? on the + side, recipe was tastey!
Thanks!
