These recipies sound delishous. I will have to try them. I make linguisa and peppers in the crock pot. I first slice the peppers and boil the and I slice and fry the linquisa and then I put it in the crockpot and add tomato sauce and cook on high for 3 hours and it is tender and delish!! I get some italian roll from the bakery and enoy it. Judy
@PST - saw your question about prime rib and saw this recipe for Slow Cooked Mushroom Beef Roast from AllRecipes.com- I haven't tried it though. I'm afraid to spend so much on Prime Rib and then experiment with it in the slow cooker. I like mine done in the oven until Medium rare. We have it every New Years Eve.
Directions 1. Place the mushrooms in the bottom of a slow cooker; set the roast atop the mushrooms; sprinkle the onion soup mix over the beef and pour the beer over everything; season with black pepper. Set slow cooker to LOW; cook 9 to 10 hours until the meat is easily pulled apart with a fork.

Directions Place cinnamon sticks and cloves on a double thickness of cheesecloth; bring up corners of cloth and tie with string to form a bag. In a 3-qt. slow cooker, combine the wine, sugar, orange juice, brandy and orange slices. Add spice bag. Cover and cook on high for 1 hour or until heated through. Discard spice bag and orange slices. Serve warm. Yield: 9 servings.
