It's probably mental, but if I eat the same thing too often, its makes me gag after a few bites and then i just can't eat at all and i get a headache. So I avoid leftovers unless I can make a completely different meal from them.
Leftovers are God's gift, in my life. I am single and batchcook in my 6 quart all the time. I don't like cooking all the time. I like homemade fast food I can reheat.

I love homemade TV dinners, and taking leftovers from dinner in the next day's lunch.
I batchcook groundbeef, soup, roast, whole chickens, homemade spaghetti sauce, and many other things in the largest crockpot. I recently made freezer burrito filling from dried bean pintos, rice, and chicken, which I made in the crockpot.

This is a recipe that I cook for me in my husband its really easy and good to eat! dont really have a name for it just created it myself.
4 frozen chicken breast 1 tablespoon olive oil 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce 1/2 cup ff ranch salad dressing small can mushrooms 1/3 cup shredded cheese 5 slices bacon
Place olive oil in bottom of crockpot then add chicken breast mix teriyaki and ranch together pour over chicken, then drain mushrooms and add to crockpot cook on low 8 hours. Cook bacon and crumble. Add bacon and cheese on top of chicken right before serving. Hope this maybe will be good recipe for you we love it!!
Anyone out there had any luck scaling down recipes for smaller groups? I have a 2 and a 6 quart slow cooker. I use my 6 quart just about every time we have company, but I don't like leftovers. Are there any good recipes that call for a 2 quart slow cooker and don't have more than 4 servings (preferably with at least a 10 hour cook time)?
