Yum! I just had roast like that (except no rack).

I'm making some crockpot soup on the patio tomorrow, setting the crock on the ground on the concrete of the patio and plugging it in outside. Wish I had a table but it's really not necessary. It will be done before we leave for fireworks.

I'm having BBQ beef previously made in the crockpot and frozen. emoticon

The soup is for the week's meal planning and has nothing to do with the 4th.

I'm crockpotting tomorrow, mostly because I'm working tonight and it's soooooo hot! when I get up in the afternoon from sleeping, should have tasty supper ready to go with my fruits and vegies I'm thinking roast on the roast rack with carrots, maybe potatoes, definitely onions!

Even baby steps are going forward

Do you have any family traditions for food for the 4th? How about you Canadians on the 2nd? Other than potato salad, BBQ, icecream, and water games for the kids (sponge races etc), I really don't think so. Adding Cherry Limeade Slushies would be nice, along with homemade lemonade with stevia.
