As many of you know I'm on a SparkBreak to move. The Move, spoken of in capital letters, has turned out to be a long-drawn out affair, with many spiritual applications and SparkPeople applications. Here's the update, and, I can't wait to get back to regular team activities and greeting you all when The Move is over:
I called movers today off of The Shepherd Guide, trying to line up someone for Monday; the low-cost people were high, and the pickings were slim with few options of people to call, so no luck.
I would rather pay Christians than day laborers. But won't hesitate to head to Home Depot if needed. Called and kept calling til I reached a friend who recently bought a house. The previous owners who moved out of her house, had a really good mover they found in The Shepherd's Guide, and I wanted their mover's name and number.
After 4 or 5 calls finally reached my friend, to make a long story short she called the previous owners of her house a couple times, then called me back at 8pm with the info of the movers the other people used.
While she was getting that info I was picking up keys about 1.5 hrs away, then came back home. Ate pizza while out which I shouldn't have. I was tired and worn out and didn't care; this whole thing has been like pulling nails.
So still on SparkBreak, still moving, will try to get movers on Monday lined up for Tuesday, OR, will pick up day laborers on Monday.
Now I'm off to remove the shelves from the fridge and wash them . . .
