I didn't look at the paste recipe. I buy tomato products in a can, when on sale, and will continue to do that including paste until I'm in a place where I can garden. I make my own (instead of storebought) spaghetti sauce and similar from the cans, however. I buy ingredients, not grocery items.
Did anyone notice the ricotta, yogurt, and cottage cheese crockpot recipes?

Some of these seem a little counterproductive. The tomato paste recipe calls for a can of tomato sauce. So I wouldnt really be saving any money because I still have to go out and buy the tomato sauce. I will try some of these recipes though. The pesto one looks really good and I've been meaning to try and make my own.
Mmmm! I am going to try making peanut butter this weekend!
