Good progress and a big smile for your husband - 2 hours can be daunting! I was disappointed in the support group at my hospital where I had surgery. So I read this blog and my Dr's group has a patient Facebook page which can be good. Good luck = I have lost 155 lbs in 14 months (9 mo. since surgery)

Thought I would get a thread going for General chit chat still in the subject of WLS-pre,post and after.
I went for my first support group which was 2 hours. My husband came with me. My husband is not used to going to meetings like that and would not normally, but said he wanted to be there to support me. He was tired and I do congratulate him on his being there with me. My next support group is on Nov 12th-Monday at 11am and only lasts one hour. That is my 2nd one in the required two before surgery. I am inclined to whenever going to a support group to do the morning monday one as both my husband and I work the night shift-at the same hospital I am having my Bypass at. On Nov 14th is my Pap Smear-the last of my cancer rule out tests. On Nov 20th I go for a Pulmonary Eval and that is where they will let me know whether or not I will need a Sleep Study test. Back to my PA on Dec 4th. I am moving right along!!
