Hi girls, :)
I just wanted to add that I have been out of control with sweets too. I think I might take your advice and go cold turkey.Since I'm an all or nothing person too. I feel better after reading your messages. But I don't know how to stay awau from my favorites.. candy hearts at Valentine's day and then jelly beans!!!!

yea I felt that way too alot what helped me was keeping things around the house for fast meals that would still be healthy or even adding things to not so healthy meals to make me feel less guilty :) My oldest loves mac and cheese and wants it constantly so I usually add ham or some other meat to it for some protien and mix in either broccoli or peas that way shes getting a veggie too but make ahead meals where lifesavers to me when I was pregnant either that or when I was having a good day I'd make a giant batch of something like chili or soup that we could eat for a few days in a row

Uk, my struggle is fast food/takeaways. Was already dieting so had mainly cut out sweets, chocolate, cake and the only soda I drink is diet. But, my two boys are really fussy eaters at the moment, DH is generally fussy, so I tendtocook at least two different meals, if not three. I've been feeling so tired this time round, I think partly to do with the extra weight since the last pregnancy, that I keep resorting to takeaway for me and DH. I am so sick of them, but so tired, and DH works long hours,so he doesn't cook. Getting abit more energy back now, but have got myself into a bad habit. Really want to cut right back on the fast food, well, at least take it down to one a week instead of three or four!

during the week I eat oatmeal and a grapefruit for breakfast everyday but on weekends I actually eat breakfast with my daughter and she's on a big rice krispies w/ bananas cut up in it kick so I've been eating that not a big raisen bran fan unfortunetly. Almost all my meals are healthy and pretty balanced its the indulgences in between that I need to watch! Water is something I struggle with I definitely do not get enough even though I carry it with me everywhere you actually have to drink it not just carry it lol

Good job! I haven't done so well and the no sugar thing. I ate 2 bowls of the berry cheerios this morning. I actually didn't even finish the second one cause I just started feeling sick. Yeck. I normally don't eat that much at one time but it was like once I got started I couldn't stop. I'm out of cheerios now so it doesn't matter, lol. I won't buy anymore. I'll just get raisin bran. Cheerios supposed to be good for you but that berry is sooooo full of sugar I don't need. At least with raisin bran I'm getting potassium and lots of fiber.

Ahh, I see about the cheese thing. I get a lot of protein though. I'm a big meat eater. Well, I was before the pregnancy. I've just been a big sweets eater for the most of it, lol. I've tried to limit my red meat intake cause of High BP but I gotta watch the sugar intake too.
I am drinking a lot of water and I know that helps but I have to discipline myself.

Yea I've been eating alot of string cheese lately and I do add shredded cheese to just about everything I eat but I'm choosing to look at that positively its protein that I need since I don't eat very much meat. :) Yesterday I rocked it apparently cold turkey is the only way to go if your me I'm an all or nothing type of person so day 2 of no sugar is here and I'm feeling ok about it I did join that tame your sweet tooth challenge and while I'll finish it now that I joined I think I'll be ok doing it on my own

I've been stuck more on a cheese kick now. I had mexican food again which I LOVE and got extra cheese sauce on my ACP. Oh man it was soooo good. Of course I was soooo thirsty afterwards from all the salt in it. I've been drinking water all day and I'm still thirsty. I bet I got 2 days worth of salt intake in that one meal. :-( But it was sooo good. I did bring some home so I didn't eat all of it. I'm going to have to limit myself to one mexican meal every couple of weeks. I won't stop myself from having it since that's the main food I want all the time BUT no more Xtra cheese and I'll limit my intake.
Man... Why can't this be easier. I feel labor is probably easier that trying to be healthy during the whole pregnancy, lol.

Well almost cold turkey I did bring in a handful of lifesaver mints figure if I start to get a sugar craving I'll pop one of those and hopefully it'll go away so wish me luck! I also joined a challenge on here for taming your sugar cravings :)

No doubt! I need this myself big time! I've been LOVING my sweets also! Plus I need to workout more. With all this stuff going on with buying a house I really hadn't made enough time for it. Even if I just take out 15 min a day to do something that would be better than nothing. I have been walking with my dh and then stretching and a few things afterwards but that's not every day. It's only on days when it's really nice outside. I need to do SOMETHING every day!
I'm all for this!.
We can do it! Just takes discipline! :-)

Hi guys so over the weekend it was brought to my attention that I have been devouring candy like its going out of style. I don't really like candy very much cause it always makes my teeth feel gross but for whatever reason its all I've wanted for the last month and I have been eating quite a lot of it. This is the one area diet wise were I am failing big time so I thought I would start an accountability thread since most everyone has an area they are struggling with whether it be getting more fiber, cutting down sugar, working out daily or just remembering to take a prenatal vitamin. Post on this thread what it is and then come daily and let everyone know how you did so we can all struggle together :) sounds fun right lol
