I, too, include an evening snack in my meal plans.

I've had that problem, still do when I don't schedule a before bedtime snack... I usually eat something high protein --peanut butter on toast or a hard boiled egg (not the best choice) my favorite choice is a single serving of string cheese with a small bit of peanut butter on it.... very filling and very high protein, keeps your blood sugar stable for the night so you won't wake up wanting something in the middle of the night.

be authentically you...

I found myself eating at night too, so now I save a few calories so that I can enjoy a snack before bedtime.

Drink low calorie or no calorie drinks.
Just no sodas.
It gets better with time and practice.
