i love mincemeat tarts! But they are high in cals so would be better if I didn't! I like most traditional Christmas foods but don't really enjoy brussel sprouts. ironically my daughter makes a brussels sprouts casserole dish every year -- which I've never said anything about and always have a (small) serving of. it's one of those family Christmas traditions. lol

“Rejoicing in ordinary things is not sentimental or trite. It actually takes guts. Each time we drop our complaints and allow everyday good fortune to inspire us, we enter the warrior's world.” ― Pema Chödrön, The Places That Scare You: A Guide to Fearlessness in Difficult Times
Love most of the classics (American) ... had figgy pudding - not a big fan.
My mom used to make the traditional Yule Log every year along with ribbon jewel cakes (never a big fan of those either, but they are beautiful). And never had a traditional Christmas Dinner, always something different every year ... most have been great, but some have left a great deal wot be desired LOL (coming from the very picky eater). But my favorite of all favorites are the Moravian Sugar cakes (which are going to be missing from the list this year as I could eat them, but would be so sick afterwards ... as I don't eat that much sugar anymore at all. But they smell wonderful. SO I can enjoy them from a far, if any of my other family member should give into the "need" to have one for tradition sack.
be authentically you... it's journey, not a one day hike.
