I love Hershey's milk chocolate. I know that makes me unsophisticated. I have tried a lot of chocolate and I never turn down chocolate. The big deal types of chocolate just don't satisfy my desire for milk chocolate. If I eat an ounce of dark chocolate I am always looking for desert.

Milk chocolate is my favorite but I sometimes indulge in dark when milk is not available.

I love all varieties of chocolate except white chocolate because it's not chocolate. If I get dark chocolate I like it as dark as possible! I never buy choc covered almonds because I'll eat them til they are gone no matter how good I promise myself I'll be- It might take 30min or two hrs but they will be gone down the hatch!

I love dark to very dark chocolate. I do not like milk or white chocolate. I will however tolerate milk once in while if it's a reese's cup- but it must be frozen. Sem-sweet chocolate is the "lightest" chocolate that I will consume simply bc of baked goods. But even then, I make most things with 60-90% dark and I love it!

I know dark is better for you and don't mind it at all but I do prefer the milk chocolate. It has been with us for so many years and the dark just really coming to the foreground. Tastes do change and I am working hard on it. Just can't live without my chocolate!!

Most definitely dark! Not just because it maybe a wee bit better for you... And although I agree that milk chocolate has a bit more variety, nothing at all beats DARK PEPPERMINT CHOC, or my childhood fav' After Dinner Mints. Mmmmm, mmmm.
STOP IT! I want some now....

While dark s better for you, the largest variety is milk and I like a variety rather than sticking to just one.

I prefer the dark chocolate; according to a medical study the dark chocolate is healthier for you and it can help with blood pressure issues as well; but even though I have not had any chocolate in a few weeks not even dark, and I have lost 4 lbs. doing it I just lost another 2 this week; I lost 2 last week so I am trying to be really good.

I prefer "dark" chocolate -- but then again, I am NOT known as one who turns down any kind of chocolate. Heck, I even enjoy "white" chocolate, which I realize is not actually chocolate.
I'm not sure I can really come up with any specific reason for my preference. But what I can say is that I have always liked dark chocolate, even prior to being informed of all the health-related benefits now associated with it.

I love all quality chocolate! But I LOVE dark the most! Which do you prefer and why? ;-) "All of the evil that people have thrust upon chocolate is really more deserved by milk chocolate, which is essentially contaminated. The closer you get to a pure chocolate liquor (the chocolate essence ground from roasted cacao beans) the purer it is, the more satisfying it is, the safer it is, and the healthier it is." (Arnold Ismach, "The Darker Side of Chocolate")
