Christmas Eve, the family will be coming over for the traditional eve supper. It's gonna be simple this year ... all getting old and appetite not as 'handsome' as b4 ... cept my hubby (yet he doesn't put on weight! So jealous!!!! lol). Oxtail stew, garlic bread, roast chicken and quiche.
Christmas lunch also at my place. Baked ham, tuna mornay, chicken pie, meatloaf, ceasar salad, baked potato salad, roast chicken quiche, shepherd's pie, lemon tart, pineapple cheesecake. I guess safe to say ... I'll be in the kitchen this Christmas :). Christmas dinner will be at my brother's (Larry) place. His kids (both in college) are inviting friends. I'll be making a couple of pies for the dinner.
New Year's eve dinner will be at my place as it's my daughter's (Chloe's) 1st birthday. Simple dinner of roast pork with the trimmings and birthday cake for dessert. They'll stay on for the countdown. Haven't decided what we'll be doing for NY's lunch. Maybe go out to a restaurant.
Well, I've been invited to 2 Christmas parties so far. One on the 18th of Dec, that's for the church, I think I'll get my hair done for that. Also one that Saturday (22nd of Dec) for my Bible study group. That will be a pot luck, I'm bringing mashed potatoes and coleslaw. Nope! I'm not buying it, I'm making it from scratch according to my own recipe! I hope they will like it!
I'm getting my hair trimmed next Tuesday, then I'll color it myself on Wednesday night, then have my hair treatment on Thursday. So I'll look glam for Christmas!
I have started shopping for my daughter. Just bought her a couple of DVDs and I have to hide them in the basement. Santa is suppose to bring her a few things and I have not decided which one yet. Oh yes, I just got a Budweiser Holiday Stein for my hubby as he collects them every year.
I'll probably just go to the church Christmas bash? I haven't been invited to any parties yet, but then, it's too early to tell at this point?
I'll also be having a haircut, color, and treatment the first week of December, so I'll look glam for Christmas! What about you? Any plans for Christmas yet or are you a last minute kinda person? I've already finished my Christmas shopping, and wrapping, all is ready to go for distribution this Christmas! I just bought some cute little things for the nurses at the dialysis center. I can't afford expensive presents for everyone, I hope they'll like their gifts anyway, as I put a lot of thought into them.
