Iowa Mom suggested the Cedar Valley Nature Trail@100 and Center Point. I love that trail, and I do feel very safe there during the day. You can access it from downtown (1st Ave & Civic Center) and head north around Cedar Lake. Fun for kids to see the geese, but there can be some goose poop. Keep heading north to H Ave, and you'll find a small park and playground. You can park there too. There are multiple places to park. I also like parking north at Boyson (big lot with bathrooms) and heading either direction. Very south park at Sokol Park@Czech Village and head south. Very quiet and beautiful.

By Ellis park there is a paved trail that runs along the river by the houseboats. I think it's at least a mile walk if not further if you go into the neighborhood. There is another paved trail that you can park around 100 and Centerpoint road but I feel it's sort of isolated and am not sure I would walk there alone.

I've got 2 boys - just invested in a sit and stand stroller - so I need to know where the best trails are to go for a walk?! I tried the Cherry Hill park yesterday and the trail is more rock than I was hoping for. Great hills tho. The sidewalk system around my neighborhood is less than ok. Any help would be wonderful! Thanks!
