How are things going on your neck of the woods? Are you done with VBS? How are the girls doing?

I'm doing better at work, did an 8 hour shift yesterday without too much trouble. Have a 6 hour shift tonight and then tomorrow a youth group activity going to a historical village(replication) and then to a park to eat before coming home. We still haven't decided what we are taking for dinner though.

I am preaching Sunday and am not even close to ready. Oh well, I had better get off here so I can do some more prep for Sunday.

Boy does my face hurt. I haven't worked since 8 pm Saturday and it still burns. I think I might be allergic to something at work, or maybe it's just standing over the french fry vats for 4-6 hours most days. They have had me on fries and nuggets most days because I can keep up easily there. They say that I can do it better than a lot of the ones that have been there longer.
The computer system they use for orders doesn't like me most days and I have to try 4 or 5 times just to clock in and out because my hands are too dry so it can't recognize my fingerprint. Its not very user friendly/intuitive and I spend too much time searching for things and can't figure out why when I tell it the customer wants something I have to input it about 5 or 6 times before it records it properly. I've used computers since my junior year in college (when I learned how to program them) and never seen one this ornery.
To tell it you want to sub an ice cream for the soft drink is easy, but to get it to change the default size -small to medium or large takes a minimum of 3 more touches on the screen and you had better watch the list to make sure it took or you could have an unhappy customer or a manager trainee thinking you are trying to give away food.
I don't think I will be doing manager training any time soon.
Its been quite warm around here and I haven't gotten much walking done. But I hope to get my elliptical cleaned off again soon so I can work out in my air conditioned living room again.

I got in a short walk yesterday. I was at the library and I decided to at least attempt walking the track. It was at least 80 degrees out and the track is black so I only managed 2 laps, but I always use the outside lane, every bit helps.

hey girl..... I'm glad you found a job !! I know fast food can be difficult work for sure ! Bless.....
I am thrilled you are losing again !! That's great.
I was doing pretty good till my company came and then 10 days of vacation .... I've had a gain and must work to get back on track and then week after next is our VBS at church and I help prepare meals before we began VBS for 4 straight nights .... that will be a test for sure ......

I am struggling to get myself back on track with food once again...........

I ran into a concrete object and SUPER BRUISED my chin on left leg...... I hope to start back walking but boy oh boy is it sore......... quite embarrassing but hurts the same.

we can do this .... lets get our focus on !!

How are things going down where you are?
It's been a bit cooler up here in the 60s and low 70s. That makes for a more comfortable day to move around and better sleeping. I can't stand it when it gets over 80 and we've already had highs in that range- way too early in the season of you ask me.
I'm losing again! I'm not quite back to my recent lowest, but I am below 200 again, and showing at least a slight loss each day for the last 4 days.

I can't wait to get my uniforms so I can really start working and burn a lot more calories.

Found job. Fast food for now. We'll see how long that lasts, how well it pays and how long it takes for promotion will probably be a big factor. I know the hours are there- they have trouble keeping people, but that is the way with fast food...

wow Having my family here for over a week I totally got off track...... I didnt get in my walking either..... I held that baby pretty much as much as I could . ! I'm in total love !! she is absolutely adorable !! we stayed on the go and ate a lot also !! .... now me and my husband leave for vacation this Friday so I am down to the wire trying to get things done !!

Hope you can find a good work soon.... we both want to retire soon !

The lack of movement since the store closed a week ago is making it harder to keep my weight moving in the right direction. Must find a new job, where I can't sit on my backside too much. Standing still for too long at a time isn't good either.

Great that you were able to walk outside. Work is crazy at times. Today was so slow I left early. A few customers are a bit demanding others are sympathetic. We haven't been given a final day yet but we expect no more than 3 weeks left. I haven't found a new job yet but I will. I know where I can probably get one, but not sure I want to work there. We'll see when the store closes.

yippee I FINALLY got to walk outside for 3 days this week!! That's a biggie for me !
Maybe I can keep that up !! Unfortunately our gospel meeting is this week with a potluck meal each night and I have cooked and been around MUCH TO MUCH tempting food. I finally gave the last half of my cake away to get it OUT of the house. ERRRRRRRRR...... I finally do exercise and then my eating goes awry !! Maybe next week I can get both of them back together !

Christine, so sorry for your loss.
I'm close to my lowest. I did regain about 6-7# over the break between challenges and with the news about my job. I've gotten the beast under control again and have lost back down to my 2 or is it 3 year plateau weight again. I will not give up and am determined to lose at least 10 # before the end of May.

hello ladies

well for the third week in a row someone close to me has died. This week it was my great Uncle. He was very old and in poor health. I hope 3 is enough for now. !

I am working on getting back into it ... doing well with my eating now if I could get my back and knee in good health and start doing some walking and or exercising .I watched an infomercial about something called Piyo which is Pilates and Yoga combined for a low impact workout. It looked VERY interesting but I'm sure using your body weight would still work you out. I have got to start walking first and then I might order that later !

ANNA - I am thinking of you.... that job situation is so hard and very stressful. I hope things turn around for you soon. The very fact you are NOT gaining is awesome !! You are still at your lowest ... correct ??? That is so wonderful ... NEVER give up .... you'll make it.

As far as cravings go .... I find if you increase your protein that DEFINITELY helps..... make sure you are getting 60 to 90 g of protein a day ..... add a protein shake or bar !!

Well I lost about half a pound this week. Working hard to lose more next week. Trying for 6% in 10 weeks that will be around 12#. I really need to get the weight moving again.

I'm no expert, but usually that say you are lacking something in your diet. Maybe a multivitamin supplement might help? I've been going through that myself but I know mine is stress related. I found out about 3 weeks ago the store where I work is closing. We were given no more than 3 months notice that we need to find a new job. DH is pushing hard for me to get a job where he works, but they aren't responding to my ap/resume yet.
We have parent plus loans coming due soon for our oldest and that will put a serious crimp in our finances.

For several days now all I can think about and do is "EAT". I do not know what is wrong with me! I am constantly looking in the fridge and the cupboards for "something" but I do not know what that "something" is so I just grab whatever I find and start eating. What is wrong with me? emoticon

wow Anna you are definitely in a high stress situation ..... I stress eat also. In fact I eat for all feelings.... comfort, happy, sad, stress....... I love to eat ! I sure hope you find a job and something good also ! I am happy to hear that your tests came out alright. It tough to lower cholesterol...... I finally had to go on medicines..... I did EVERYTHING..... I walked lost weight and it didn't faze my cholesterol one bit ! Its in my genes ! I have to take medicine...... It also took me about 3 different medicines to find one of those that acutally worked on my cholesterol.
Its frustrating believe me I know !!

Yes this is the second child of the niece I raised. Her little boy is excited about little sister and she's a good baby. I was thrilled to spend time with them.

I am struggling to get back in control.... but I am working on it for sure..... I've discovered that I can really eat those raw veggies if I dip them in salsa. So i'm buying salsa by the quart ! I love celery with it and carrots and just about anything !
keep plugging and don't give up ... theres no such thing as perfection..... so don't give up !

Visit went well, no new tests, only my cholesterol was of any concern. He gave me a few tips to help with hunger and helping keep my blood sugar more stable to try and break my plateau. Now to implement the suggestions and stay in my new Dr suggested calorie range.

I see the doc on Thursday. The thyroid test was almost smack dab in the middle of the range on the report so I assume it is ok. Blood sugar was normal for me - high normal. Cholesterol was higher than usual. Too much good food at Christmas? There was evidence of inflammation/ infection that I don't remember seeing before. We'll see what he says about it - maybe more tests.

I'm glad you got to spend time with the new little one. Is this the niece you raised? If so this is like a grandchild for you. Some days I wish we had grandchildren but I can wait until the girls are married.

I really need to figure out how to keep on plan when life happens. I bought lots of bars, frozen veggies, fresh fruit, dinners, shake mix and pre mixed shakes and still I have trouble sticking to it. I've walked almost a thousand miles since March 30 last year and still can't break 190. Something has to work.

ok anna I hope you have news from the thyroid tests they ran on you ???

I am back from a 10 day LONNNNNNNNNGGGGGG trip to Florida. I cooked and babysat for my niece and the new baby arrived on the 6th and she is WONDERFUL !! I got to spend some
much needed time with older brother and family. I of course ate badly while on the road and dread my weigh in but it is what it is !! I loved every minute of being in cool 70 ish temperatures with doors open and breezes in FEB !!
My husband goes back with me in 2 weeks ... Can' t wait !!
That baby is ADORABLE !! she was 7 lbs 12 oz and 19 1/2 inches.

Got my bloodwork done this morning. I noticed they drew 5 vials instead of the normal 4 and asked what was new so she read off/ interpretated whatthe tests were and they ordered a new one. They are checking my thyroid this time. I'm pretty sure that I have never had that test run. I'm curious to see how it turns out.

wow I've had a really great week of being on program and actually excited to weigh
in later tonight ! However of course ..... we leave for an out of town weekend tomorrow....
so there goes all my great momentum . Its so hard to eat out for a whole weekend and stay on track but I am going to try hard. Then the next week I leave for 2 weeks in Florida with
my niece as they welcome baby 2 .... Karissa. It will be hard being away from home.

I hate that My momentum gets constantly interrupted but life is life and we have to learn
how to get right back up after a fall so keeping my fingers crossed that I can hold on !

I hope your work gets better and I pray that your health is better ANNA and that your tests ar3 done for now. We had a funeral at Church along with some meals, some new illnesses and lots of sick people. I am just tired of the "gray" days. We've had one day of sunshine in about 2 weeks .

Yesterday was rough. We had a snack station set up at work so that every time we were in the stock room we could grab a bite. I brought grapes and chips. There were mini cupcakes, salted caramels, salad from Olive Garden, etc. We had a special coupon available so we expected heavy traffic and little time for breaks. I tried to not eat too much. But when I got home I seem to have made up for my restraint at work. Well today is another day. I will do better today!

I got the book a couple of days ago and re-read most of it again. I found a great deal on Slimfast at Meijer buy one get one half off so DH told me to buy 10. That made them about $5.25 per can! Then 2 days later they had a bunch of the Michelina's dinners for $.70 each(probably older stock). I bought 4 before work(we have a large fridge at work and only 2 or 3 of us use the freezer compartment so I can leave multiple lunches) and went back after work and got another dozen. I had trouble getting them in my freezer but now I have 2-3 weeks worth of mini meals and 6 weeks of shakes dirt cheap. Meijer also had 3# bags of my favorite pears buy one get one free. Wow, did I find some good bargains that day. Wish me luck on sticking closer to the plan since I don't have an excuse any more.

yes anna I am with you ! I think I need to re read the book also ! I plan on getting myself back on track but I know it will take a few days if not weeks !! I have been so bad for awhile now ! It s amazing how quickly you get to feeling better though ..... I think mentally too ..... you know you are in control and it feels so much better Physically and Mentally !

well today Is my birthday .... I have been in bed sick since cmas morning. I woke up with the crud and coughing till my sides hurt. I eating mucinex and junk food mostly. It will be awful hard to get myself back on track. We had a good cmas eve party here at my house but I've done very little since ,,, I still have to undo tree ....

that really does not sound like the spotting so much is a very good thing..... I had one friend who did that and she had to have a hysterectomy. She is much better now.

here's hoping you have a wonderful Christmas ... this year is my turn to host and its at my house on Christmas eve ! I 've got to go on an all out cleaning spree !!

I have been spotting off and on for the last few years, a bit more than usual. But for me spotting has been normal, ever since I joined the military 30+ years ago. I exercise too hard and I spot, I get around teenage girls and I spot, my girls come home from college and I spot, we go visit my in-laws and I spot. The PA and ob-gyn were horrified when I told them about it. The military doctors had a term for it ( irritable cervix) and I accepted it.
I know losing 10- 15# in 6 months is doable, but I've been on this plateau for 2 years just gradually losing about 1-2 # in a year. I just have to get serious again.
I really don't want to take prescription hormones. It's hard enough to remember to take all my supplements and my acid reducer daily. I have a pill sorter and fill it up at the beginning of the week and usually have 2 or 3 days worth of pills left from the week before.

Well I have to get up early for work, so I better get some sleep.

Oh anna I have not heard of that... I'm sorry but Am so very glad they ( drs) are keeping a close on eye on that ... sounds like it could very MUCH mess with hormones and lots of things ! Are you having symptoms of any kind ? I had a cmas picture taken I COULD not BELIEVE how fat my neck has gotten ... I hope after the holidays to really get focused in January !! I am so unhappy with myself !

I am praying your health is alright and that this treatment works for you ! You have worked so hard.... is it 6 months to lose 15 more pounds ? You can definitely do that !!

I had a D&C they took everything they scraped out and tested it. Too many cells but none atypical so they said come back in 6 months for another biopsy ( in office procedure next time) and try to lose more. My fat cells are producing/ releasing too much estrogen for my age and menopausal status. If I can lose another 10 to 15 pounds by then I may not have to go on progesterone supplements (which can cause weight gain- around 15# worth). So I am trying harder to be not only stay within my calorie range but extra diligent with my tracking and my workouts. I know more veggies and fruits will help a lot but I just can't stay consistent with them.

ANNA - that's too sweet of you to do that..... I have never learned to crochet but handmade things are so very special ! I hope you get to finish it. What procedures are you having done ? You have been doing a lot of those lately ???? I hope all is well with you if you don't feel like sharing I will pray for health anyways.

we have 5 family birthdays in DEC on top of xmas and then 3 more the first week of January with one more at the end of January. I got all the presents out and was trying to sort out xmas ones, from birthday ones, from santa ones........ I am stressed and NOT eating well at all.

This sitruation with the girls is so bad.... I do NOT want them to go back to their mother but My mom is too old to keep them also and I am worried about her health and see NO good solution at all ............ stress and worry and stress and worry and eat and more stress

I raised my niece but one at a time is MUCH different than Three at once !!
It wears me out also... I have a bad knee and back.

Not exactly swamped there, but between work and home and church and DH's expectations I am quite busy. I decided last night that over the next few days when I'm not working I will be crocheting a baby afghan for a new baby at church.(grandma told me they need a baby blanket) I have Sunday- Tuesday off because of a procedure on Monday and I don't want to spend all that time reading. I figure 2 1/2 days should be plenty of time, if I can find the right crochet hook. :)

Yes some people have a strange idea of what they should be able to do. I remember how my ex-SIL had a judge in FL convinced that my brother should owe her child support when he was living in MI with the kids and he had full custody. He couldn't even take the kids to visit her or her parents because there was a warrant out for him for back child support. But then, she couldn't come visit them because she WAS behind on support.

I'll be praying for you.

Well I have to open the store in the morning so I better get some sleep.

Well I made it through thanksgiving but I sure did endulge too much !!
I enjoyed it all and then I had a run in with the girls mother and it really upset
me and I have been stress eating ever since. She totally does not get it...
she is unappreciative and unbelievable . I cannot fathom how her brain works
she has NO SHAME, no accountability and demands things she has no
Right to demand. UNBELIEVABLE...... a world I do not know.
its so sad.
I am trying to buy for girls from us and also from Santa claus and I've been
online shopping and will have to get busy hiding and wrapping !

if only I can also keep my eating underway !!

I'll have to try to find that bread. I struggle to get enough protein most days. Too much of my protein comes from milk and milk products or high fat sources- peanut butter. I just don't eat a lot of meat or fish. And have heard too many bad things about soy to go add much of that.
I guess I just need to start cooking again. I haven't done much since I started working 2 years ago.

I'm still here and still pluggin away ... I have 3 good days and then struggle...... its been my theme all year ..... I've played with the same 10 pounds all year. I am really hoping to buckle down and at least lose those and end up with a pound or two loss for the whole year at this point !!!

BTW my newest discovery is Nature's own Life Wheat and Protein bread .... I love it ! it has
90 calories, 2 g of fat, 8 g of protein, and 2 g of fiber per slice !! That is awesome to get 16 g of protein added to a sandwich !!

we've had a death in our church family of a family member who's suffered with cancer and its going to be a hectic week .... on top of that we have a big night Friday with a huge banquet for the Senior Citizens with a talent show too ! Then comes THANKSGIVING !

Sounds like you are learning what it's like to be a parent. I drove mine 11 miles to school for 9 years. I had one start sports in middle school, both started band in 6th/7th grade and stayed with it. Both were into drama and FFA in high school. But they were mine and we grew into it and I didn't work once the running around got into full swing. I couldn't keep my schedule straight while working and running them everywhere so we tightened our belts as much as we could and let them do as much as we could afford on one paycheck.

I think of you often and pray things will work out for the best for all involved.

Ok life has been truly crazy busy for me lately. the oldest girl(10) has now signed up for soccer
and she has practice on tues.. and thurs. nights and games every Saturday. They had fall break week before last and that was nuts keeping them busy..... makes me look forward to Christmas.( sarcasm) We went back to court with the mom last week and she has NOT done ONE thing to try to get them back. December will be ONE year. Its overwhelming mentally, physically, and financially and I am stress eating . NOT GOOD. My mother is 75 and wearing down fast ...... so frustrating. On the good news.... the girls are all thriving and doing well in school and making so many friends and now sing all the bible class songs. It makes my heart jump to hear the 4 yr old sing Jesus loves me.
My niece from Florida came with 4 yr son and is pregnant. She is expecting a girl in Feb. We are thrilled but I've been crazy.
Meanwhile we had a ladies day at our church and we had 15 different ladies decorate tables for 8 and I did one and also made a double batch of taco soup. It was a nice fun day but
definitely exhausting !
I am ready for a breather but now next sat (29th) is our church's fall trunk or treat festival with hot dogs and chili and hay ride and candy !!

I am so glad for all your tests being good so far ANNA !! Prayers answered ! emoticon

It wasn't a half pound, but it was a loss. If I keep working hard at this I might just lose 10 by Christmas.

I want to be in the 180s again. Haven't seen them in almost 20 years. My "baby" was a toddler last time I was at 185. I think that is a great goal for the Thanksgiving to Christmas time frame. What's your goal for Christmas?

Wow, it's been a while since I posted here. Looks like I might just post a loss at my next weigh in. This is the lowest weight I've seen on a Sunday in forever and I only went over my recommended calories by just a bit today and have been way under for the last few days. Hoping for at least 1/2 pound this week.
Sundays are always rough for me.

Welcome,
Basically each day you have -
3 shakes(your choice of brand and flavor that contain 200 calories or less and have at least 10 g protein)
2 small meals(Michelinas or Lean Cuisine or other brand that fits the requirements less than 300 calories at least 10 grams protein no more than 9 grams fat) and
5 or MORE fruits and or vegetables
You can also have 1 protein bar ( I don't remember the requirements for this) as a snack occasionally when needed to make it to your next meal.

You decide the shake. You decide the meal. You decide the fruits and vegetables.
You can combine the fruits and veggies with the shakes or the meals or have them as a snack separately whichever works for you. You also should build up to walking about 2 miles more than you currently do at least 5 times a week. If I remember correctly.

The annual retreat did a number on my weight again. Hoping most of it is from the sodium in the sausage and chips that were the lunch on Saturday. I lost 4# over night last night, so I know some of it was sodium related. Hoping to lose 2 to 3 more by Thursday's weigh in to finish the challenge with a loss.

Well I guess all that traveling did me in last week..... I ended up gaining a 1/2 pound ! Of course I couldn't drink all my water either so Its been a bit of work to get back to my water drinking also !!
I had a dr's follow up visit on Wednesday and I have one more follow up apt at the end of sept and hopefully I am finally done with all my dr's visits. Between mammogram, pap smear, yearly and then the colonoscopy it feels like I have LIVED there ! This gettin old thing is pretty rough !!

The ark was very HOT with a one and half hour wait to even get in !! I don't recommend going on a SAT. it was ACTUALLY wall to wall people and could not even see things very well. The creation museum is only an hour or so away and we went there years ago and REALLY enjoyed it a lot. They are talking about building the tower of Babel next to ark so there's good reason to wait or combine all three later !

Wish I could join you. My niece took her kids to see the ark awhile back, sounds like fun.

Well the girls at work didn't pay for all the snacks they took from the snack box so the boss said get rid of it. So now my snacks are calorie controlled - by me.

ANNA - I think you did ASTOUNDINGLY well !! WTG !! You ate small servings and let yourself have the thing you wanted most....... so WELL DONE !! NO ONE does perfectly all the time ... you tried hard to cut back and handled a hard situation as well as you could and you DID eat less than you wanted or COULD have so BRAVO !! we all have to do the best we can and you tried and you did ! That's all we can ask of ourselves ... ya know ? Perfectionism will kill your efforts ... pat yourself on the back for handling it different than you would have in the past so that's a step forward !! you ARE doing it .... changing a little at a time ....baby steps !

I have been doing better with food but still need to get my exercise program back on track.... my knee is still trouble and we leave for vacation the end of august so I know that will be tough to get back on track after a week off but my goal is 5 more pounds before then if I can ????

BTW just wanted to share with you my newest discovery that I love ....... I found it at Walmart.... its called Lenny & Larry's the complete cookie ! I love them ..... they are huge and one cookie is 2 servings . I eat the chocolate chip one in place of a shake and they are SOOOOOO filling. They are sort of dry and I drink 2 cups of water with each one. I treat them like a protein bar and only eat them once a day. sometimes a half one or a whole if I'm gonna replace a meal . They have per serving (1/2 cookie) 180 calorie, 4 g of fiber, 6 g of fat, 8 gof protein, no dairy, no eggs, no GMO, no high fructose corn syrup, no cholesterol, no artificial sweetners, no sugar alcohols

our Church group is planning a day long trip this weekend to visit the ark and I'm pretty excited about it so I'll be on the road one whole long day and it 'll be rough eating !!

Went to a family reunion over the weekend. Don't usually get to because it's usually on Sunday. Of course I ate too much even though I limited almost everything to about 2 tablespoons per serving. But there were chocolate cupcakes... Portion control.... I had 2. I did have lots of the fresh fruit and only 4 corn chips.

Yes so far everything is good. I am still waiting to hear back from biopsies ! My tummy was very sensitive for days and I ate very carefully and still only lost 1 pound so I guess it does come back VERY quickly !! my scales at home are terrible so I NEVER weigh on those ! I only weigh once a week at a TOPS meeting .

I am doing better with my diet but still tend to drop off on weekends with the DH who always wants to go out to eat. If I could keep it together all week I could have a loss I'm sure . I am not exercising due to my knee and I think that is hurting me and now we have been under a heat advisory for over a week with humidity THAT IS UNBEARABLE ! It takes your breath away to walk out the door !

I've been working on redoing a guest room so we can use it when the girls come...... it was a bonafide storage room basically !! NOW where to find to put the stuff I took out of there ?????? hm ??????? more shuffling of the closets .......hehehehehe !!

I had my colonoscopy in June and the minimal weight I lost during the prep was back in less than 48 hours. Of course we went out for Chinese food for lunch after the test. All that MSG.

for me the answer to beat cravings is ALWAYS more protein ! I added a handful of nuts 3 days last week and used some protein powder and was REALLY in the game mentally more than I have been in a long time and I tracked all my food but still managed to gain a 1/2 pd so I am really pretty bummed !! Now that's messing with my mojo and then I have to drink fluids and not eat all day on sunday and I have a colonoscopy on MONDAY !
I've made up my jello and bought clear or white grape juice so I'll be prepared tomorrow !

That 's going to mess up my whole week I am afraid and then If I lose it will only come back the next week after I start eating !! its always something and I am not going to give up !

I'm thinking about getting a canister or two of it just for the reuseable canister. Then I'll be able to test it out again. I need something to jump start my weight loss again. I'm working in a store where the old manager had set up for someone to regularly bring in snacks in a cardboard box and they are expensive but too accessible. I need something to fill me up so I can ignore the snacks. I track them but they interfere with healthy filling foods.

hey anna you were right .... they were around 13 dollars for 12 servings and you still have to add milk so that's EVEN more expensive..... but for me the higher the protein the fuller I feel if I can stand the taste......???? I bought the skinny girl drinks and they were over a dollar a piece for 80 cals and 12 g of protein and the flavor was rich chocolate brownie..... I did NOT care for them ... they had a weird aftertaste.... a twang and I will not be buying again.

I order the UNJURY protein powder and it really fills me up but I keep trying to find something cheaper and at home or off the shelf and cannot find anything I like as well.

Walmart here now is carrying all the QUEST products .... i.e. bars, chips, and powders . they have lots of protein powders in cookies and cream flavors and so on.... I bought a cookies and cream protein bar and found it TOO ICKY sweet and did not care for it either ! They had a single size protein (QUEST) potato chip bag for 2 and 1/2 dollars but I did not buy it .
There was I think 21 g of protein in the single serving of chips.

gotta run and wash some laundry

At our local stores the higher protein powder sells for about $13 for a canister that only does 12 shakes while the regular powder is $7 for enough to make 14 shakes. Checking my favorites I must have tried it when it first came out or when I first noticed it because I entered the info myself. I don't remember if they were any more filling than the regular or not. I may try it again.

sorry anna ..... Just to clarify.... these are not the shakes this is the slimfast protein powder !! You mix it with milk to get a total of 20 g of protein . You have to use a measure scoop . I am going to look at price again and divide by portions to see about price ???

I think my internet service may be fixed ???? its been off all week and driving me nuts !!

This weekend was a tough one. Fifteen or more hours on the road with all the stay awake snacks required for evening driving.
Lots of stress. No chance to try my new idea. Will do it next week.

I have seen the higher protein slim fast shakes, but they are a lot more expensive at our store than the regular ones. I think I tried them once, not sure. Will probably have to try them again.
I feel your pain with the heat. Its was terrible here this weekend between the heat and humidity and we had to drive in it with no a/c, except what my driver's ed teacher would have called 255 or 270 a/c.
Well it's getting late and I need to get some sleep.
