I am following TSD exacctly. I am not concerned about the sodium in the packaged meals. When I am not on a diet I think I eat the same amount or more in sodium due to cheese and lunch meat, popcorn... I really like and know that I need the portion control of he packaged meals, this is key for me.
Well, off to get my exercise in for the day!

Good evening ladies; Dropped end for a little chat. I'm always trying to chance things. So I thought I would ask a little feed back. At the end of the day when I ran my reports. It said my fats and protein was lower than recommended. I thought a small slice of french bread with 1Tbs olive oil on the bread. I didn't eat it but I plugged it in just to check and see. It change everything just enough that it was more balanced. And my daily calories were about 1250. What do you think? Do I need to check in the book?

Hi Gwen, Great to hear from you, I love the simple diet too. I like the pre packaged food when my hubby is away, he works in a mining camp so that is half the time. It's super easy food prep and I stock up when they are on sale. But a couple of options I've used are to have a piece of meat/poultry/fish that is under 300 calories with veggies or I will make up a recipe that has serving sizes that fit the frozen entrée requirements and portion them out and freeze them essentially making my own. a fave of mine is buffalo chicken mac and cheese which I portion out serving and a halves.
Good morning Gwen. I really like the simpleness of this diet. I agree I don't normally eat any pre-packed food. My main concern is the very high sodium. But I'm see the weight come off. However it's only Day #5 for me. Time will only tell.
I received a message about the inactivity on this board so I wanted to help by posting a few things. First of all. I really like everything about the Simple Diet except for all of the prepacked food. I have a hard time justifying the cost of the meals and I just don't like all of the chemicals. I follow somewhat of the Simple Diet but not the way I shoudl. I love protein shakes and have found some that are very high in protein, use stevia and have many vitamins and minerals. There is so much junk out there these days. Anyway, that's what's going on with me.
