Visalus shakes are a soy protein. You can mix with soy milk, or water and some flavorings (I use Crystal Light). $44 for 30 meals on Amazon. $1.50 a meal. You can also use OJ, diet root bear (tastes like a root beer float). 90 calories with water. Other add ins add calories. But at 90 calories you have a lot of leeway to add stuff....fruit, veggies, coffee, almond milk, rice milk, marinara sauce (that was a joke!). There's a Visalus team here with tons of recipes for using it. Body By Vi is the website name and the team name is 90 Day Body by Vi Challenge.

I have a friend who wants to try the Simple Diet but she's lactose intolerant. Can someone suggests some shakes they've tried that lack milk (and are tasty!)
