Skinnysomeday:When I lived in th city I pounded a lot of pavement also, now that I live in the sticks I'm all about being in the bush. The road I live on turns into a Forest Service road about 1 km up from me, from there, there are all kinds of old roads and trails branching off. If I go the other way there is the Trans Canada Trail that follows an old railway bed and a river and if I want to drive there are forest service roads going off in every direction. So I'm really lucky that way. I live in the mountains so I walk up hill for a while then I turn around and walk down hill home. Today I did a 2hour 10km hike

Ok then Mrs VK .... you are just plain putting me to shame..... congrats on your hike. Do you hike outdoors in the woods are on trails ? sounds very refreshing.... may have to try it.... I just pound the ole pavement and that does get boring but like you said..... its right out my door !! I'm all for convenience and NO Gasoline usage !!

Yesterday I had a 155 minute hike Today I walked the dog for 35 minutes
Skinnysomeday: Young is relative I work in long term care where will always be a "Sweet young Thang"...lol to my son I'm really old but i will be 50 in the fall so kind of in the middle...lol I also am not a big fan of exercise in general but I love love love to hike and can do it right out my back door the rest I kind of have to force myself into.

You must be young.... these old bones can only exercise once...... I'm taking some meds now for a kidney infection and back feels a little better already after 24 hrs. thanks ! Keep it up and keep on keeping on.....

BayBerry, I love the feeling of being fit, to be able to break into a jog to cross the street quickly and the ease in which I can hike up hill these days. Skinniesomeday, I hope your back feels better soon and I love your R.O.A.R. Today I went for a 86 minute hike and strength trained for 50 minutes. I'm getting faster on the strength traing because I don't have to look at the book so much...lol

walked 2 miles outside this morning. Had a terrible back pains all day yesterday .... someone said possibly kidney infection..... taking some meds and gonna rest the rest of the day. Made a new shake for me at least...loved it..... used the dole frozen pineapple chunks for smoothies ....can you say YUM !!

40 on the bike today, then work. On my feet for 6 hours, running around like a chicken with its head cut off. Funny thing is, I now make myself do things the "long" way to get in extra steps.
Anybody else notice the little things in your life that have changed because of this "diet" and are now part of your everyday life?

Hey team! In The Simple Diet Dr A askes the question: How much exercise does the trick? and answers "The more exercise, the better." he also advocates 30 to 45 minutes per day 6 days a week. So I thought we could have a quick daily check in and let the others on the team know what we were up to.
