Running to the refrigerator is not considered exercise.

I may not be there yet, but I'm closer than I was yesterday!

Aww, Mrs. VK, you're gonna make me emoticon that was so sweet! I know you all will still be around. Leaving the group just seems like I am leaving you all although I know it is not true considering we are all friends on Spark. Ugh...just feels like it but Miss US is helping me get through lol

Lily - We are still here for you. Remember the goal is to lose the weight; there are many plans out there and your doctor thinks this will be a good alternative. Like you said, give it a month plus continue to work out as you have and the pounds will fall off.

Hello Sunshine,

Thanks for your ray of sunshine (pun intended) lol

I didn't know about the lo-carb diet or its success. Thanks for ensuring me that I will continue to lose. I do NOT plan on leaving Spark. You ALL have been very supportive and I've learned a lot about myself. The major thing I've learned is accountability. Spark keeps me accountable for my diet and exercise; I'm thankful!

I will cook my meats on my days off, package my portions and refrigerate. Its easier said than done but if I want to lose the weight, I'm going to have to make this work. It will be a challenge just like the SD is/was but I can do it!

Lean meat, fruit and veggies is a lo-carb diet and is very successful for many people on weight loss (especially men!). Without the bread, rice, pasta and potatoes you'll continue losing. Stay on our website please so we can be supportive. AND measure by inches, inches, inches! We are here for you! Cook your meat for the week on your day off, package your portion, refrigerate some and freeze for later in the week and warm up as needed. Sacks of broccoli, cauliflower & carrots with a teeny bit of dressing. Check the recipes here on SparkPeople for your favorite dressing so it won't be processed.
Love, Gayle

Hello Rae,

emoticon so much for your continued support.

Although I am sad and upset, I am still going to try my doctor's plan for 30 days with an open mind. She is my physician and would know what's best for me, diet wise, right! Today was a bit of a bummer but I will awake in the morning, Lord willing and cease the day!!!

I just want something, finally, for me that I can do/accomplish and lose these last 35lbs.

I can simplify my life and lighten my burdens by deciding realistically what I want to do and what I have time to do. (~_^)

I'm so sorry BLKLILY. You know things happen for a reason, many times we do not know that reason until much later. Hang in there. You've done so well and you will continue to do good. God bless you my friend!

Hello Ladies,

My visit to the doctor today did not go as planned. I am not sure if I am going to blog about it but before I decide to, you all deserve to know my sad news first!

I will be leaving the Simple Diet - in a nutshell!

My doctor knows that I am on the SD. She has recommended that I get rid of eating processed foods. I have to stop eating grain (rice, bread & pasta) carbs and switch them for complex carbs (fruits & veggies) and lean meats for 30 days. I would also have to give up the protein shakes and cook - ugh! The main reason I am on the SD is because I do not have time to cook...

I had to digest a lot of information today and my head is still swimming. I felt really frustrated, discouraged and defeated which added to what I saw after weighing in. I have worked so hard these past 5 months and it ALL seemed to go down the drain today, in 20mins. I'm really sad...

I can simplify my life and lighten my burdens by deciding realistically what I want to do and what I have time to do. (~_^)
