Hello Elaine,

I feel the same way...I may lose like others or at the same pace but I am going to stick to the SD. It works for me....

Clarification: Whoops! Posted this from my iPhone and I guess it didn't land in the right place. My comments were actually meant for RaeBridges.
Keep on, keeping on, Lily. You're an inspiration (I do not run!!! Unless there's a fire?!)

Me tooo. I've fallen off for a few days twice now. Fortunately I lost it again real fast. I must admit I'm not super, die-hard legalistic about the plan. The strictest adherence would cause me to throw in the towel. I allow myself a daily deviation or two--within reason, of course. Breakfast is a favorite meal, so I afford myself the luxury of scrambled eggs and an english muffin/toast, a few times a week. I also permit myself a small, daily treat--like a Smart Ones Strawberry Shortcake.

I may not lose as fast as some of Dr Anderson's patients, but I'm gonna stick it out.

Elaine emoticon

P.S. I noticed we have lost roughly the same amount of weight (~10 lbs) and have the same goal (~100 lbs). ^_^

Guess what ya'll? During my trip to Wal-mart, (this time) I found Strawberry Whey Protein. I did not want to over do it and buy 2 tubs so I bought 1 this time around since I just purchased the Vanilla EAS.

UPDATE

Never found any of the Whey Protein, syrups or abstract in strawberry.

So, I bought EAS Whey Protein Vanilla and some frozen fruit! I'm giving up trying to find the strawberry flavor and it is okay. Eventually, I will lose enough pounds to get me into phase 2 and the shakes will not be as important as they are in phase 1.

You can also use Torani sugar-free syrups in your shakes. They have a gazillion different flavors and are VERY yummy!

Just a thought: if you're not vegan, strawberry jello (dissolve in a little hot water first). Lots of other possibilities with Sugar Free Jello flavors...lemon...black cherry...lime...orange (for a creamsickle flavor). And in the puddings: pistachio, butterscotch. Ooo, the sky's the limit!

Huntress, no I had not tried that. I think you suggested that before but I got distracted by the yummy option of Greek yogurt. I'm open to trying it as long as it is budget friendly. I don't want to have to buy too much extra stuff and just wanted the powder to be strawberry. I already mix vanilla powder with frozen strawberries. This time around, I wanted to try something exotic like strawberry powder and fresh mangoes, okay that is not that exotic but it is fruity and fun

Have you tried sugar free strawberry pudding to add to your vanilla powder? I believe it is 1 TBSP for a serving.

There was a terrible storm over the weekend. It just so happens, the Target I went to was impacted badly. They had no frozen fruit and yes, NO strawberry Whey Protein. I settled for some damn more can vanilla can shakes. I will try another Target tomorrow and if they do not carry anything strawberry, back to the dreaded vanilla whey protein...ugh!

lily you can go onto the Wt Watchers smart ones site or lean cuisine and do a search for the markets that carry a meal you want to find. It's not perfect since their inventory can change but it helps.

You guys are awesome. I guess the best way to spice something boring up is to do something different. I had not tried adding anything to French Vanilla besides fruit. I do not drink coffee. I hate chocolate flavor so my switch would be the strawberry. I am down to my last 2 can shakes which can be expensive. I only buy 1 case for emergencies and totally depend on the powder and/or Greek yogurt. Since I switched up from the Greek yogurt and went back to the shakes, it has moved the scale again for me or something is the culprit. Anyway, I'm picky to say the least and that also limits me which makes me bore easily...ugh! I'm going to Target tomorrow and am hoping the one I go to has the strawberry flavor and those yummy flat bread sandwiches.

I need to add more variety to my shakes. The reason I'm getting bored with them is because I make the same one all the time. You guys have excellent suggestions!

I too like my shakes, I really love blending vanilla ones with fruit because I don't find them that filling on their own. I prefer the ready-made, the powder to me is kind of gross. I'm not the biggest fan of strawberry flavoring (although I adore strawberries themselves) but do drink the strawberry shakes for variety. Lily, I know we had talked about my hubby trying out the Body Fortress Strawberry- we haven't had a chance to buy it yet though. Hopefully you have found it or find it soon!

Hey, it's only my third week and I'm getting bored too! I'm trying to do good, but have strayed off the plan a few times. My weight loss has slowed down. I'm getting so tired of the shakes and the entrees. I know I must press on and that this plan works, but as simple as it is, it's really hard. I read a blog from a girl who lost 110 lbs. She did cardio 90 minutes 5 times a week and strength training 3 times a week. She also did really good at watching what she ate and compared the calories to the calories she had to burn to lose weight. Check out her blog for inspiration... http://www.jensjourney.com/2012/01/hardest

Just a thought: get some Walden Farms Strawberry Syrup, absolutely calorie free and add to any vanilla shake. $3.96 at Vitacost, and if you can manage to order $49 worth of stuff shipping is free.

Shake things up ... hope you find your strawberry tomorrow.

I find that a nice change for me is having the vanilla whey powder mixed with fruit & ginger ale to be a nice change. Any frozen fruit will work.

I also like to make a iced coffee using either cold strong coffee with vanilla powder or using instant coffee mixed in with the powder and some almond milk.

Hang in there you can do this.

Out of Whey Protein powder, went to Wal-mart and decided to try Body Fortress, strawberry flavor. How about no strawberry? So, I decided to at least buy the Equate strawberry shakes. How about no strawberry? I could not find strawberry flavor in no powder or shakes.

I went to the grocery store and the same thing. At the damn time I decide to try strawberry, no one has any or in stock. I am going to try Target tomorrow since I had to settle on 6 cans of Equate French Vanilla. I refused to buy Whey Protein, French Vanilla flavor.

Like Lisa, I'm getting bored with everything...well almost everything! My exercise is awesome, each day I am challenged by life so it makes me rise to the occasion. Okay, that was random and off topic...but I say all that to say I'm bored with the shakes and entrees...ugh!
