I've been wanting to make some salsa too. As soon as I find the book that has the recipe, I'll post it. It's the recipe for Chili's salsa....and it is soooo good, but still on plan.

Running to the refrigerator is not considered exercise.

I may not be there yet, but I'm closer than I was yesterday!

I have been using my Magic Bullet so much with the SD that I am afraid I might wear it out!
I got mine free from my daughter ..I'll take any cast-off I can get from her!
Anway, I like best to mix Slim-Fast high protein, low-carb with frozen fruit and it comes out like ice cream. I take ripe bananas and break them into smaller pieces and throw them in the freezer. Then I blend the frozen bananas with chocolate SF. Also, I take whole frozen strawberries and blend them with vanilla SF or strawberry SF. You can also blend frozen fruit with 1 scoop protein powder, water (or diet pop). Since frozen fruit is fairly expensive, I also take canned and freeze it. You can put crushed pineapple in ice cube trays or cut up peaches and freeze chunks. Frozen mangoes were a splurge that were really good also. Other people have gotten more creative, but I'm all for just throwing things in and going.

I just wanted to share how happy I am that I invested in The Magic Bullet. I have seen it on TV and thought that I don't need any more junk in my tiny kitchen. I have found myself getting bored with the Simple Diet since I do not cook and have a hard time getting creative with vegetables. I bought this little thing from Target for about $60.00 which is not bad considering how much money I have been saving with The Simple Diet (seriously, I only spend about $60.00 a week on food.) This little thing rocks! I toss some frozen fruit and some Slimfast in there and the cylinder has a handle which is great for a filling shake while I am running out the door. I also started making my own fat free humuus with garbanzo beans, paprika, lemon jusice and a bit of water for a nice on the plan veggie dip. I am still working on making a nice salsa for salad dressing. It is easy to clean, easy to use (it is a little loud) and has given me a bit more variety in my plan. Anyone else tried it? Have any good idea for recipes? I was thinking of making a black bean dip. I can't cook so I am not great with coming up with new stuff on my own. Hang in there everyone! We can do this!!!
