Yes, the weight comes off slowly but your medical tests will show you physical improvement. I just received my quarterly blood test results this morning. The test results are for a three month period, I have been on the Simple Diet a month. My doctor was very pleased, my average glucose was better, fasting blood sugar has improved, Triglycerides were well within range and LDL was excellent! I have only lost 6 pounds so far. I am doing the diet and walking between 2-3 miles a day 5 times a week. I got so pumped up after seeing my doctor that I just want to share the good news and hopefully motivate someone who may be struggling.

Stay with it as the health benefits far outweigh the immediate loss of weight! Go Simple Diet!

It's really true that the less weight you have to lose, the slower you will probably lose it too. Also, if you started the program after already having been on another diet of some sort, your weight loss may also be slower. Keep at it though and it will come!

Thanks for posting this, Monday will be 4 weeks for me and I have lost 7 lbs, I thought I was doing terrible because I fell off plan a couple of times, but like you said in another post I finished the day on plan and used a low cal entrée to help make up for it. I was feeling discouraged but feel better now.

On Page 171 there is a chart of what you can expect to lose in 4 weeks at an absolute minimum.

less 150 2 pounds
150-174 3 pounds
175-199 4 pounds
200-249 6 pounds
250-299 8 pounds
300-399 12 pounds
greater 400 16 pounds

Hope this helps for those who may be concerned they are not losing fast enough.
