Lester has been lit up his last two starts, and Bobby V commented over the weekend that Lester has been working with pitching coach Bob McClure on some sort of mechanical issue, but it sure looks like it has not been fixed! Very sad situation...

Unfortunately there are a number of player that just do not seem to have their heart in the game. It's like they don't care. I think Beckett has a bit of that as well. I get the impression that Buccholz is struggling, but he does care.
Any theories as to what is the matter with Lester? I mean, I know Beckett and Buccholz have not exactly lit up the sky lately (well, actually, Buccholz has had a couple of good starts), but at least you feel like Beckett is going to battle.. Lester looks so uninterested, even when he's out there pitching! You just knew yesterday that after the Sox came back and scored 3 in the bottom of the 1st, that he was going to go out there and give it back, just knew!
But I really can't figure out what's wrong! Any theories?
It's not a diet, it's not exercise, it's a way of life. Period.
