They did look like they had no spirit Chef. Hopefully they will rally around each other and find some spirit to cling to tonight!

I can't watch, that seemed to help the other night, so I won't watch I won't even check in on my At Bat app, I swear!

Any word on Salty's injury last night?

Thankfully football is in full gear and hockey is coming. Gonna need those "diversions" if the Sox fail to make the playoffs!

Tonight was not fun. They seem to have lost their spirit. However I have to put most of the problems on the pitching.

Ray's win. Sox lose.

All even with two to go. Bedard up next.

Inside the park home run as Els bangs off the wall and loses it. That's a tough one. Not too many centerfielders would have even gotten a glove on it. Hope he didn't hurt himself.

I agree on Bucholtz, so let's hope he gets cleared for a few innings. Evidently he threw 18 pitches today in Florida. So let's just hope that Beckett can keep it together. I am getting nervous.

It wasn't pretty, but Beckett got out of the 5th, 2-2. Rays up 4-2 in the 5th.

Chef, Buchotz could be a big help in relief.

You ever notice the Sox pitchers don't have good names for nick names? And the starters accountant like demeanors don't lend them to nick names?

Lester, Beckett, Lackey, Bedard, all bad names. Wakefield (Wake is good).

Yet the positional players are great:
1st - Gonzo
2nd - Pedie
Short - Scutter
3rd - Youk
Catcher - Salty and Tec
Right - Who plays right? JD Who
Center - Els
Left - Crawford is too serious for a nick name, Fish would be good, Crawfish. Fish was my Grandpa's nick name. That's a good one.
DH - Papi

End of three 2-2 Yanks/Rays

Beckett (no nick name) 2-1 through 4 (60 pitches).

Buchotz is coming to Boston tomorrow for an evaluation. Talking about having him pitch if we make the play offs for a few pitches..That's a big if. OK first in third with two outs. Looking better. Thank you Ellsbury.

Thanks for the update on the Yanks. I'm feeling a bit better about the Sox. They seem to have a bit more will tonight. Let's just hope it lasts. Beckett despite the home run has been doing great.

Nice start for Beckett. He only threw about 10 pitches in the first.
Up comes JD Who, with a single. I thought that guy retired. Seriously. Angle, the worst throw I have ever witnessed, anywhere, any level. 1-0 Sox! End of 1.5. Let's go Beckett!

BTW, Yanks are starting a reliever tonight vs. Rays... HR Cano, love Cano. 1-0 Yanks after 1.
