Aw, I'm so sorry. You must be miserable - sinus and ears are no fun to deal with.
But I definitely agree with the others. Take it from someone who had to learn it the hard way. Your body only has so much energy - and you need all the energy you can get to fight your infection. Whenever I get sick and can't exercise, I always try to envision my body battling against the nasties. It helps me to remember why my body can't handle exercise. It just doesn't have time with all the viruses it needs to kill! That really helps to motivate me when I'm feeling like a slug.
You hang in there, and just know that when you are 100% better, you'll have all this extra motivation to get back into it.

Listen to the doctor! If you push yourself when you're sick you could end up pushing yourself into exhaustion and end up even sicker. It would be a shame to be too sick for your trip :/ A bulging eardrum is bad enough but if it ruptures it will be AWFUL ... ears are nothing to mess with ... take it easy and let it heal.
Listen to your doctor! You may feel like it will help for the Mexico trip but it might do the opposite and make you more sick. Your body needs time and rest right now. Remember that working out is great for helping with weight loss and general health but your eating can keep your on the right track while you can't work out. The most important thing is your health so you need to do what is best for that right now....and doctor knows best :)
Jeets :) "whether you think you can, or whether you think you can't, you are absolutely right "
So after a long battle with a sinus infection it won, and i went to a doctor today, who said i have a fever which is quite rare for me and a bulging eardrum. Truth be told, I've been working out with all the illness pain because I'm headed to Mexico in about 2 weeks. I finally WANT to go workout but "shouldn't with a fever", said the doctor. What do I do???
