I am 5' 3", so I do tend to get a tad nervous when I see others on spark at my weight, as my assumption is that most are taller than me. :) As a child, I was always the shortest person I knew, but you know as an adult that isn't the case anymore. Well, some of them are shorter now, but didn't used to be, ie they lost inches as they aged.

I am 5'2" too - my mom always said I was short for my weight! You are doing great - and I think it is okay to be a bit disapointed as long as you aren't downright depressed. Sometimes a bit of disapointment can turn into resolve.

I'd just like to add that 2-3 pounds in 3 weeks is a completely normal, healthy, and in fact wonderful rate of weight loss - especially when you only have a few pounds to lose!!
Don't let the fact that you are being totally successful somehow turn into a disappointment because it is only your expectations for how fast you should be able to lose weight that are unrealistic.
You are doing GREAT!

Thank you all for your replies. The only reason why I decided to lose an additional 10lbs is because I am in the border line of overweight & healthy range according to my BMI. Also have separated stomach muscles so I want to try to tighten that some more by losing more weight along with physcal therapy. I am too a firm believer of changing routines as I did that a lot getting to my goal weight. You are all so sweet and thanks for your compliments & words of encouragement & motivation! I did weigh myself this morning and lost almost a pound. Finally Im seeing something on the scale. I guess I will take what I can. However still dissapointing! Also yesterday I measured myself and as some of you said, I guess I could see results there. In the last month I lost another inch & half around my waist. I think I do need to do more strength training but I need to get more dumbbells for that. Im trying to keep positive about it!

I agree with the others. YOU DID A FANTASTIC JOB reaching your goal! Keep up the great work to maintain and if those extra lbs come off, than great. I wouldn't worry too much about that, you DO look wonderful in the pic!

First, congratulations on reaching your goal. But I have to agree with the other two people that perhaps your body is saying it can go no more.
Re-examine your goal. Perhaps it should be about sculpting your body to achieve a better shape, or for your clothes to fit better. From the picture on your posting you look fabulous. I wish I were in your shoes at goal rather than where I am.
Sleep deprivation can make your body stay where it's at. I agree with plenty of sleep, eat the right foods, always track. Being at goal is great but maintaining means doing what you did to get to goal. You cannot stop now. Otherwise you will slowly slip back to the old ways and habits. Losing another 2-3 lbs is great. Please don't be disappointed; after all you walk in the shoes that most of us want to be in. You're at goal. Enjoy it! But stay healthy.
Each journey begins with a single step.
Be good to yourself because you are important.
Love yourself always!

What is your current BMI? if it is in the healthy range and you just want to loose the additional 10 pounds to feel better , then you may want to re-think the extra weight loss. I also echo the comments of the last person, mix up the routine on both exercise and food. Do strength training to get toned in areas you want to focus on. Also realize that the last bit of weight takes more time because you are trying to exchange fat for muscle and muscle weights more. It may look like you are not making progress so do the body measurements you may be loosing inches by building muscle so the weight loss looks slow.

The last ten pounds are the hardest. My advice...
1. Make sure you really need to loose those last ten pounds and you aren't forcing your body to be too thin. 2. Maybe mix up the exercise a bit. I think if you do the same thing all the time, your body gets used to it. 3. Do strength training.
Lastly, don't give up. Those last ten pounds took me forever! They were the slowest pounds to loose since I started.

Yes, ive been a part of sparkpeople since September 23rd & have reached my goal. But made an additional goal to lose another 10lbs. & it's not happening. I'm tracking my food. Drinking my water, exercising & pushing myself! Doing everything just as I was before. Just as I did as I was reaching my previous goal. I just don't understand!

Have you been tracking your food? Getting enough exercise and sleep? Sometimes, even when we think we're doing everything right, it takes some time to get on a roll. Don't feel too bad, because at least you're not doing everything and gaining weight.

So I am in week 3 & getting a bit disappointed cause I'm not getting as much results as I expected! Getting discouraged! I have only lost 2-3lbs. I just don't understand! :-(
