I don't get a lot of rest days, but i do try to manage my strength training so i i rotate between intense cardio/ upper/core/lower body. although i am trying to get into a habit of being more active throughout my day.

Since Pilates focuses on the core muscles, you could choose a video that works on other muscles; however, I agree that you should probably get a coach's advice to be sure.

I think that pilates is low impact enough that you can do it and not worry about not giving your muscles time to recover. But, it would be good to get the expert's advice on this.

You should record any exercise you do and complete including the warm-up and cool-down. This is part of your muscles recovery. You're not doing anything bad by doing videos, classes etc... The only thing will stop it is yourself or how your body copes with exercising. If you have just recently started exercising, take it easy, don't push yourself too much until your body is ready for the next step but as long as your warm-up and cool-down (with stretches) you should be fine. Everyone's body is different so you're the only one knowing your body so you should know if you're ok exercising after your pilates classes.

Hi,
I have two questions after reading various team threads. First, if I track a cardio video, like the kickboxing one, and it says it's a ten minute video, do I still only record the six or so minutes that are the active parts, not warm-up and cool-down? Also, I do a Pilates class on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Am I undoing good by doing the videos and the class, given that my muscles might not be adequately recovering? Thanks for your help!
