Good class last night, we touched on a lot of material that I've been wanting to work
and I got a great work out.
I mentioned before that I've got coworkers that have tried the class I think. One of them, C, had a mohawk that the kids we see at work loved. Apparently he was at a gym and a gay man asked him about hair product and what he'd recommend. C was so put off he shaved his head, spent all day yesterday in the back office going on about how gross and horrible it was but would have been fine if it was a 'hot chick' or 'hot lesbian'.
C has been to couple classes and we have 2 gay men and 1 lesbian woman in class. For 2 weeks he's given me excuses about not going to class, telling me he loved the classes, they were so much fun but family matters were interfering.
After yesterday, I'm certain he hasn't come back because he's 'afraid' of working with the gay men and that's fine. Our class, like most, is not about gender or sexual orientation, it's about martial arts and if he doesn't get that, he won't get far, fine.
I gave him a heavy weight gi after his first class, and I would like it back. Should I ask? If so, how?
I may not be there yet but I'm closer than I was yesterday.
I got tired of starting over and working back to where I was, so I have stopped giving up!
