We had a great class today, my oldest made it too. 'A' did not have a great time for most of it, we worked ne-waza or ground work. A hasn't worked ne-waza before and really had a difficult time. She said later that she'd had the hardest time not freaking out when she had her partner in her guard. I assured her that's normal for more women than not and it's okay, it's the not giving up that matters.
Otherwise it was a very good class. I posted wrong on a technique and rolled over my right hand in a way that hyper-extended all 4 fingers on that hand emoticon will be taping the 2 littlest ones for a few days, but that's not an big deal at all.
I hope everyone else is having a great weekend!

I may not be there yet but I'm closer than I was yesterday.

I got tired of starting over and working back to where I was, so I have stopped giving up!

Eternal, be careful to not over train too fast. Your body will tell you when you are not at peak and need to lay off, and your instructors will understand.
On the other hand, it's still fun so have at it!

I'm glad everything is okay with your heart, 23Kaiya!

I made it to class yesterday, and I went this morning as well, since I'm off from work today. I'm planning to go again this evening, but that will depend on how I feel at that point. My thumb has been acting up, and I did a bad break fall last night and now my neck is sore. (I have only myself to blame - I let my attention wander for a second and then SPLAT, I'm on the mat.)

Still, it feels good to get back, and I'm hoping to be able to do the second class, since I missed Tuesday and I'll have to miss Saturday as well.

Good classes this week - yesterday 3 new young people (2 young ladies) what fun. 23KAIYA - glad you've been given the green light to train harder - take care of yourself - you are worth it

Made it to class, had a great time! I posted a blog on it but haven't mentioned it here, I've been having heart symptoms. After lots of tests I was given a green light! It hasn't affected my training schedule but I'll be able to focus more and push harder.

I may not be there yet but I'm closer than I was yesterday.

I got tired of starting over and working back to where I was, so I have stopped giving up!

Awe, sorry to hear that, I hope it works for you tomorrow. I have class tomorrow as well, lots of appointments during the day though.

I was looking forward to TKD all day today, since we haven't had class since Thursday. So of course I got caught in endless traffic, and ended up missing class because by the time I got home (an hour and 40 minutes after I left work... normally it takes 25-30 minutes) class was already a quarter of the way over.

Tomorrow it's an hour later, so even if there's traffic again (and I really hope there isn't) I should be able to make it. I may do two classes on Thursday to make up for it - we'll see.

Ari, I am sorry you will miss out on sledding emoticon Glad you didn't get hit by a big nasty storm to bad though.
BriAnne, be safe! I hope by this point you've been able to venture out.

I will most likely not be going to class tomorrow, but I'll take it as it comes. Yesterday was rough, I've got a bug that's settled in my lungs so I have not done much at all. My dojo made a trip 60 miles north yesterday to train with a sister dojo in a friendship training, I'm really disappointed to have missed out. Hopefully it happens again!
