i have to start stage 1 over and over and over again. i am just NOT good at being consistent with my new good behaviors. i can say with certainty that i am doing MUCH better at not eating past being full. I am not mindlessly munching at work as often. so, i am making improvements, but not at the pace i would like, after all, i have been on this healthy lifestyle for at least 10 years off and on. at some point, i have to make permanent changes.

Giving yourself credit is hard. At least for me it is. I'm on that phase right now and am reviewing the days in the solution book. Do you weigh every day? I am kind of doing the two Beck books simultaneously and they aren't always the same on this point especially. Hope you are doing well.emoticon Great to have your "coach" so close by!

Eating slowly and paying attention is sadly lacking. We always eat in front of the TV at dinnertime and we always go for seconds. Tonight I will make us sit at the table and one helpin only.
Tomorrow we will be on the road. Hank and I are each others coach so maybe on the way we will make a fitness and diet plan, set our goals, make some plans. I know my number one goal is to be able to do 3 days of walks in a row by March. I need a training plan for that.

Last night I gave in and had a Pina Colada. I shouldn't say I gave in, I planned for it but I wish I didn't it. It wasn't worth the calories.

But I will give myself credit for not beating myself up.

I did my Advantage Response cards, picked my food plan and for the most part ate sitting down. last night I was mindlessly munching on some peanuts. I don't usually snack after supper but I was hungry.
I didn't get my cards out but I did think about what I was doing and stopped. Later when I was still wanting a snack I did not give in.
Today I am thinking I might have just been Thirsty.
This is day 4 and I am giving myself credit for not giving in to having Sonic at break time. Today and tomorrow will be fine but Saturday we are going out of town and it will be hard not to go and eat off plan. I have to keep picturing my scale and what I want it to say next Tuesday at weigh in.
