Hey there, I'm on day one, and my doctor had the same concern. We talked it over and he said I should be fine using chia seeds, as I've been using them to supplement my protein intake for awhile now. They don't fill me up like they do for some people, but they contain protein and a range of other nutrients. I'd recommend doing some research and find if your body likes them... I usually get the Bob's Red Mill brand (Vitacost) or Nutvia locally.
I add a tablespoon or so to my juice and allow a few minutes for the seeds to soften, then drink it. Having that little extra also helps me "chew" my juice. I hope this helps!
