I make juice 2-3 times per day. I have been drinking my juice out of a 32oz container that I don't quite fill. I have heard from some that you are supposed to be drinking around 64oz of juice per day and lot's and lot's of water!

I honestly just usually go with what I feel like my body needs. I try to drink water as often as possible in between juicing.

The nutritients are in the juice. The pulp is the fiber and fiber is what " sweeps" the bowels clean.with juice only it is easier for the body to assimilate all the nutrients very quickly like in 15 minutes after you ingest the juice then it is easier for the body to heal itself and not waste time and energy dealing with the pulp. But if you are also eating solid foods or other nonjuice foods then you are delaying the healing process.

My question is how often on the juice fast do you drink your juice and how much? I know you should not pre make your juice as the enzymes are destroyed. So must be freshly prepared for best results. Also how much water daily do we drink on the juice fast.

Those are all great ideas! I especially like using the veggie pulp to make veggie broth. I have some stuff in the freezer stored up for doing a veggie broth so I'll use up my chicken broth to make space for it.

Anyone know how to track our juicing yet?

I have been juicing for 8 days now. I do wonder about the pulp. But from what I understand..juicing allows the vitamins and minerals to get into your blood stream faster that eating a piece of fruit. Also, never would I be eating half or even a 4th of the vegies and fruits I am putting into my body a day if it weren't for juicing them 1st. I heard some people take the pulp and use it as compost for their garden while others pat it down into a dehydrator and end up with pulp chips. Another thing I heard was that you can use the pulp for baking bread or something else. I think you can put it in baggies and freeze it until then...I'm not sure, I am no expert. I do know however that I have lost 15 pounds in the last 8 days and I feel sooo much better than I have in a long time. I am hoping by the time I get back to eating that I will have broken the need to snack all day and eat garbage as appose to healthy meals. Good luck.

I'm reading, "Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead" by Joe Cross. He has a documentary as well that's really really good and informative.

I didn't find a board where we could ask questions so I thought I'd start one. I've been juicing for a week now but only for snacks for now. Clearly I need to finish reading the book but I'm already feeling guilty about everything that's discarded. People are asking me why I'm juicing as opposed to using the whole fruit or veggie in a smoothie. So, why is juicing better? Isn't there nutrition left in what's being discarded? Also, how on earth do you track the calories or fruit/veggie consumption for juicing?
