I have been fasting during the day and having a small meal at night because fasting all day for days on end was too much for me. I know it's not truly fasting if I eat at night but I had to tailor the plan to be something that I could stick with and not quit. So I figure that doing it 2/3 of the way for a long time is better than doing it fully for a few days. The weight loss is still significant. I lost 6.3lbs last week.
I would recommend finding what works for you, what is not so overwhelming that you want to quit. If you make it more manageable you can ease your way into it. I hope this helps.
In a few hours, I'll be entering day three of my juice fast. I don't know how long I'll go on. Last time I fasted, I lasted for 8 1/2 days. I gained all the weight back pretty quickly because I went back to my old eating habits. When I do stop fasting, I want to go to one solid meal a day...something like quinoa, black beans and avocado. Anyway, I'd love suggestions on keeping motivated.
