Any processed food for me makes my body hold on to weight. If it's fresh, homemade without chemical additives and preservatives, MSG, aspartame I loose weight. If its processed at all I gain. Just a thought. It's more important to pick healthy foods than to eat a calorie correct amount of processed foods.
I think it's essential for you to consult with a doctor, cause definitely have special situation and common approaches may need adjustments to fit you. 5 pounds in not that little, my advice on that - try to eat simple for a week. All things you like, but keep it simple and easy to count. Maybe recalculate your limits all things considered.
Hi I'm Darren and joined Spark People to loose weight and keep it off. I been doing all and everything that can help loose my weight through eating. I've tracked my food all week and watched cals. carbs and so on. And gained 5 lbs. This is scary to me. I'm disabled and I always got to push my-self to get moving. and endure my pains. I had lower back and neck surgeries. Last year I had double by-pass surgery and since then I gained 35lbs. I weighed in today at 259lbs. Last week 254. I know I didn't get enough exercise but, I counted all my food everyday now for a week and I Gained. I know not to let stuff like this let you down.Today I payed for this years subscription. I'm hoping to hang on and enjoy the ride!!!
