I had to see my doctor yesterday and so I was able to weigh myself and I have lost 5 more pounds from my last visit which was a little over 2 and a half weeks ago. I was so nervous to be weighed but happy at the results!!! emoticon emoticon

I am on day 16. I have started the 28 day bootcamp challenge and am breaking the days fitness goals down into 10 minute sessions throughout the day. I am hurting but it is a good hurt. My muscles just forgot for a long time they could workout some.

I lost 44 pounds since Feb.1. 10.5 inches off my waist,body fat down from 52% to 35% and gone from size 16 to size 10. My weight is good overall.

tomorrow is weigh in- I'm feeling slightly stuffed still from a bulky (but in range) menu these past couple of days.... stayed on plan! I've come in to the 160s. I'm happy because I spent the last 15 months in 170s yo-yo land....I am happy to have broken out of the yo yo rut. Overall I'm down from 212 lbs to 160s

Pretty good, even though I did not lose any weight this past week.

I'm getting better at recognizing when I need to dial it down and go easy on myself. It was a stressful, disappointing and exhausting week, and trying to be too strict would only make me feel resentful, deprived and more tired. So on Friday night I celebrated (in moderation) at a friend's birthday party at a Mexican restaurant. I rested yesterday, and went out to brunch this morning. Now I feel refreshed and ready to face the week ahead!

JSTEPH, 1200 calories sounds too low to me. Metabolism slows down without enough calories--"starvation mode". Try averaging 1400 per day. (Every week, there's a day or two where I exceed 1700 calories, and it seems to help, rather than hinder my progress.)

I love yoga, too, but since it's not considered a cardio exercise, be sure you complement it with walking, biking, or some other activity several days a week for at least 20 minutes at a time. Good luck!

Your Carbs are too low. Try 150 carbs a day. Snack less. Specially in the evening.
Cut down on processed foods. Fruits and veggies daily.
Drink your Water.
Exercise.

The scales are not moving... ugh the struggle is real... I need to really look at everything to see what is going on. Maybe Im not getting all my water in or maybe Im getting too many carbs not enough protein. It is hard because everyone has different views on what has worked for them. Counting calories, low carbs, etc... I just need to re-look at everything.

I was down 3 lbs. and have lost 25 lbs. I am very happy my pre-diabetes is now down in the normal range. I have 30 more pounds to lose.

emoticon I knew last week was too good to be true ( down 3#lbs last week) but I also knew it had to be at least a little bit true!

This week the emoticon 1.5 gain is only a 1 pound gain emoticon and I seriously think it will be gone since I fixed the sodium in my diet. emoticon

I feel great that I lost another 2.5 lbs as of Wednesday, and that I'm down 9 lbs since starting in mid-July. I'll weigh in "offcially" on Sunday. Watching the Olympics while on the treadmill at the gym is becoming a good (if temporary) evening habit.

weighed a day early to check numbers - up a little from tripling sodium count in last 24 hours and then trying to wash it away with 12+ c water-
didn't bother to log scale because I know it's water- my calories were in range/correct all week

I've been at the same two pound loss for about two weeks. Part of it is returning to drinking soda when I'm out at dinner. And eating too many carbs. Gotta do strength training and more cardio alongside walking my dogs. ;)

It's a new year (halfway through lol) and a new me emerging! Watch me work!!

I lost 1.6 lbs this week! I'm down 6.5 lbs in three weeks, and I can definitely see and feel the difference in how my clothes fit. For the past two weeks it had seemed as though the scale wasn't budging, but I didn't get frustrated or give up.

In addition, four weeks of yoga practice has greatly improved my strength, balance and flexibility. I don't feel so old an creaky now! emoticon

Starting Week 3 - so far, so good! I've set small goals, and have met them the first two weeks! I find I'm losing the desire for sweets, still working on the salty temptations!! Thankful it's prime fruit season and garden season - all that is tasting good, and are wise choices for me! Drinking lots of water, have pretty much eliminated the soft drinks - pretty proud of that!!

I'm just five days into my "do-over", and it's going well. I'm eating healthier and staying within the calorie range. And despite the heat and awful humidity in St. Louis, I've been getting out to walk the dog at least once a day, and I've been to the gym twice. Hope I can keep it up!

It's not all about the weight. Be sure to measure other things as well. My muscle has increased and fat decreased as well as inches. How you feel is also a measurement! Don't be focused on a number on the scale. Keep on striving for health!

Congrats to everyone on your progress! For those who are struggling, keep at it, you can do it!

I went to the doctor a couple of weeks ago and weighed in at just under 160 lbs (I'm 5'3"). That was enough to get me back on the site, but it took me a week to get on here, give or take. The doc visit weigh-in was what I've based my starting weight on. However, after only 4 days of diet and exercise, I lost nearly 4 lbs, which doesn't seem right. I guess I'll chock it up to loss of water weight?
I started logging on Sparkpeople 4 years ago and lost 19 lbs at my peak, but have since gained it back and then some. So now I'm back, back again. I don't have an end goal, but I know the best way for me to lose weight is to exercise and have a calorie range, logging in my consumption and holding myself accountable. I'm on my way.

I am so happy because I was able to weigh in today and I have lost another 3lbs!!!! My doctor is so happy with my progress so far. I normally would have been upset but I am learning that baby steps are better than no steps at all!!! Hope everyone has a great day. emoticon

Not good. I gained 3 pounds over the holiday. I am back on track now and joined TOPS Wednesday. I have lost 36 pounds since Feb. even with my weight gain.

Pretty great! My weight loss progress was rather depressing, until we moved on our boat, which totally changed our lifestyle! I lost 15 pounds in four months and improved my muscle tone quite a bit. I feel fantastic. I'd like to lose enough inches to be able to fit into size 10 jeans again--I'm fairly comfortably in a 12-14 right now. :D

Today is my last day of my fresh healthy meals I ordered from local food service. It amazes me how much food one can get for 1200 calories. I've had some great meals and didn't cheat by eating other things. For me, it just shows if done correctly 1200 calories is more than enough food. I had 3 meals a day totaling 1200 calories a day which I normally wouldn't eat but I'd eat one frozen pizza which would have tons of calories, mountains of salt and loaded with cheese.

Now the question is how to continue? I can't afford getting three days of food (mine was a special) but maybe three dinners a week. I cannot trust myself at the grocery store. I'll see what happens when I weigh in.

Good, I have lost 36 pounds since Feb.1. I have not lost any more in the past three weeks,recently lowered my maximum calories from Spark people from 1550 calories without exercise to 1300 exercise or not. I think I had too many calories with more allowed when I exercise. I am now on a chronic kidney disease diet,at stage 2 that is set at 1300 calories and does not change with exercise because they have no exercise tracker. They do have a menu plan and 1000 recipes and you can add your own recipe to the correct food group. They also have a shopping list and blog sites. I have 15 more pounds to lose this year. Now that I know my health condition I will change my new diet but,keep the same calories. I do not use Spark peoples menu anymore.

How am I feeling about my progress? Absolutely awesome! Tomorrow marks two years of weight maintenance for me and I have been operating under severe activity restrictions for 66 weeks. That's over a year in slug mode. With what I have learned using Spark tools and resources and the support of Spark Teams and Spark Friends, I did not gain weght even though I could not move. I knew what I needed to do and made the nutritional adjustments. And, here I am 66 weeks later still maintaining away. Yeah!

Thanks Spark Friends for your encouragement and support as I have healed and recovered from this pelvic fracture. You are the emoticon

Yesterday I hurt my Rectus femoris (thigh) muscles due to very extreme and severe cramping. Now on 3 supplements and paying close attention to sufficiently hydrating. So I'm disappointed about that unfortunate episode, but I am 3 lbs shy of goal #1, which equates to 8 lbs shy of ultimate goal. So I'm feeling energized about that. Hopefully I'll be back to exercising soon.

I just started again - second time around. I know that the last time I got so caught up with obtaining points and playing games that removing weight was secondary :( and of course I stayed at the same weight. Now due to life I've gained more weight and the frustration level is high, that is why I'm here again. I cannot believe I weigh 200 lbs, this is the highest I have ever weighed in all my years walking on this earth and it is depressing.

I just completed a 3 day Juice cleanse to get the body cleaned out and rested, I feel good. Even though I stopped going to a PT ... he just wasn't working for me, I'm looking at barre classes in my neighborhood that I can walk to. I know that if I don't pay for something I won't do it, yes it's kind of dumb, but no one knows me better then me and that is what I have to do.

I also am going to have 3 healthy 1200 calorie dinners per week, fresh food, not frozen, etc. I will pick up from local fresh market store. This is my plan of attack - what works for one doesn't work for another. I believe we just need to find out what is the best way for ourselves, what may work for the other guy may not work for you. Just remember it is all about you. Commitment is everything.

And so the journey begins. emoticon

Not good. I was down to 189.6, then up to 191.0, then up to 193.0, and then 194.0. Today I'm back down to 193.0. That's a good thing. That means I lost a lb. Yeah for me!

I am feeling good about my progress. To be honest I'm trying to take my feelings out of the picture concerning my weight and healthy lifestyle. My feelings have betrayed me before so to avoid sugar coating my reality I'm choosing to rely on what I know. I know I will be the best me that I can be. I know that I will positively affect others on my journey. I know that I am over weight. I know that sitting around and not exercising coupled with making poor food and drink choices has led to me being over weight. No matter if I'm feeling good or bad I will continue to work towards becoming a health me.

Good, I have lost 7 pounds on Spark people since I started 5 weeks ago and 28 pounds before I started Spark people since Feb. 1. Total weight loss as of today 35 pounds since Feb. 1. I now weigh 156 pounds and was 191 pounds. emoticon emoticon
