I am happy with my eating and my exercise workout but I think my Frank's hot sauce will have to go. Way too much sodium. I am probably retaining loads of water. I want t see results on the scale on Friday so I will cut out the Frank's to see if that will help.

Adjusted attitude. Another half pound down, and now when I look at weight lost over the past month, I see slow but consistent progress--4.5 lbs in 4 weeks is something to be proud of! Last night I wore a pair of shorts that did not fit at the end of August, and went out dancing to live blues music on the riverfront. Both of those things represent real, tangible progress...and as for the scale, well, the month is not quite over. I'm hoping to make it 5 for September.

I'm frustrated to have only lost 4 lbs in the past 6 weeks. But during that time I've greatly increased cardio fitness, muscle strength, coordination and flexibility, and I feel much better. My customized C25K running program is progressing well; tomorrow I'll finish Week 4. I'm enjoying weekly yoga, dancing, and the occasional longer hike. To break through the weight plateau, I signed up for the 8-Week 5% Challenge with a goal of losing 9 more lbs my mid-December. I'm determined to keep pushing!

I felt so relieved to see a new number on the scale this morning! 183.2. I combined a couple of big workout days and finally got results. Walking+yoga+dance class on Saturday, and a 5.3-mile hilly hike with run intervals (on the trail) on Sunday.

Although I still don't think I've managed to get off this plateau, I am really happy that my run intervals are progressing. It just feels so good to run again! Even for two minutes--and a very slow pace, at that.

Up 2 lbs. Was bummed but I know there were a few days where I over did it, so I am going to let this be a lesson and keep moving forward. My doctor wasn't concerned though and said it happens when losing weight. She said it could be water weight too. Ah well. This too shall pass. emoticon

No good this week,gained 2 pounds because of Dads 90th Birthday. My sister won a bakery cake we had and I made potato salad with no fat dressing and we had hamburgers with cheddar cheese.I also went out for chinese food with a friend and went to a healthy cooking class Tuesday and ended up with 2 servings. The last class is next Tuesday.On track tomorrow and planned meals till Sunday,will do more meal planning tomorrow before I shop on Friday. Overall I have gone from 191 pounds in February to 148 pounds today,so I have made progress.

Kinda frustrated. I fully expected to lose 1 lb this week due to stepping up my workouts and planning ahead to stay within my calorie range every day, but I seem to be stuck. I'll work on it again today.

On the other hand, when I went out to a friend's birthday dinner on Saturday night, I was able to wear something I couldn't have six weeks ago. And for the first time, people noticed I'd lost weight. Nice to get compliments and have my favorite clothes fit again!

That's awesome, LIN1263! I've been reading your updates, and you really are a rock star!

I feel better. I was able to work out last night--an easy half hour of cardio at the gym. And this morning, I was down 1.5 lbs from yesterday, half a pound from the week before! So that 1 lb "weight gain" I reported was just a fluke after all. I'm a tidge over the trend line to reach my goal by the end of the year.

Gained a pound, which is unfortunate, but I can't say I'm surprised. After spending hours moving furniture and shampooing the carpeting (a big workout!), I was exhausted. And then shooting pain in my lower back and hip kept me off my feet for several days. But I made it through an hour of yoga on Saturday morning, and strolled around with friends at a festival yesterday afternoon. Am feeling 85% better.

I had to see my doctor yesterday and so I was able to weigh myself and I have lost 5 more pounds from my last visit which was a little over 2 and a half weeks ago. I was so nervous to be weighed but happy at the results!!! emoticon emoticon

I am on day 16. I have started the 28 day bootcamp challenge and am breaking the days fitness goals down into 10 minute sessions throughout the day. I am hurting but it is a good hurt. My muscles just forgot for a long time they could workout some.

I lost 44 pounds since Feb.1. 10.5 inches off my waist,body fat down from 52% to 35% and gone from size 16 to size 10. My weight is good overall.

tomorrow is weigh in- I'm feeling slightly stuffed still from a bulky (but in range) menu these past couple of days.... stayed on plan! I've come in to the 160s. I'm happy because I spent the last 15 months in 170s yo-yo land....I am happy to have broken out of the yo yo rut. Overall I'm down from 212 lbs to 160s

Pretty good, even though I did not lose any weight this past week.

I'm getting better at recognizing when I need to dial it down and go easy on myself. It was a stressful, disappointing and exhausting week, and trying to be too strict would only make me feel resentful, deprived and more tired. So on Friday night I celebrated (in moderation) at a friend's birthday party at a Mexican restaurant. I rested yesterday, and went out to brunch this morning. Now I feel refreshed and ready to face the week ahead!

JSTEPH, 1200 calories sounds too low to me. Metabolism slows down without enough calories--"starvation mode". Try averaging 1400 per day. (Every week, there's a day or two where I exceed 1700 calories, and it seems to help, rather than hinder my progress.)

I love yoga, too, but since it's not considered a cardio exercise, be sure you complement it with walking, biking, or some other activity several days a week for at least 20 minutes at a time. Good luck!

Your Carbs are too low. Try 150 carbs a day. Snack less. Specially in the evening.
Cut down on processed foods. Fruits and veggies daily.
Drink your Water.
Exercise.

VERY happy to be 25% of the way to my goal weight in the first month back at SP. I know my progress might be slower from this point forward, but I hope to reach the halfway point in 6 weeks, Sept. 25th.

The scales are not moving... ugh the struggle is real... I need to really look at everything to see what is going on. Maybe Im not getting all my water in or maybe Im getting too many carbs not enough protein. It is hard because everyone has different views on what has worked for them. Counting calories, low carbs, etc... I just need to re-look at everything.

Somebody please tell my what you are doing to lose weight. I am keeping carbs below 30, calories to 1200, and doing yoga. The scale will not budge.

I was down 3 lbs. and have lost 25 lbs. I am very happy my pre-diabetes is now down in the normal range. I have 30 more pounds to lose.

Nothing tastes as good as thin feels.

emoticon I knew last week was too good to be true ( down 3#lbs last week) but I also knew it had to be at least a little bit true!

This week the emoticon 1.5 gain is only a 1 pound gain emoticon and I seriously think it will be gone since I fixed the sodium in my diet. emoticon

I feel great that I lost another 2.5 lbs as of Wednesday, and that I'm down 9 lbs since starting in mid-July. I'll weigh in "offcially" on Sunday. Watching the Olympics while on the treadmill at the gym is becoming a good (if temporary) evening habit.

weighed a day early to check numbers - up a little from tripling sodium count in last 24 hours and then trying to wash it away with 12+ c water-
didn't bother to log scale because I know it's water- my calories were in range/correct all week

I've been at the same two pound loss for about two weeks. Part of it is returning to drinking soda when I'm out at dinner. And eating too many carbs. Gotta do strength training and more cardio alongside walking my dogs. ;)

It's a new year (halfway through lol) and a new me emerging! Watch me work!!

I lost 1.6 lbs this week! I'm down 6.5 lbs in three weeks, and I can definitely see and feel the difference in how my clothes fit. For the past two weeks it had seemed as though the scale wasn't budging, but I didn't get frustrated or give up.

In addition, four weeks of yoga practice has greatly improved my strength, balance and flexibility. I don't feel so old an creaky now! emoticon

Starting Week 3 - so far, so good! I've set small goals, and have met them the first two weeks! I find I'm losing the desire for sweets, still working on the salty temptations!! Thankful it's prime fruit season and garden season - all that is tasting good, and are wise choices for me! Drinking lots of water, have pretty much eliminated the soft drinks - pretty proud of that!!

I'm just five days into my "do-over", and it's going well. I'm eating healthier and staying within the calorie range. And despite the heat and awful humidity in St. Louis, I've been getting out to walk the dog at least once a day, and I've been to the gym twice. Hope I can keep it up!
