@ Amy--I just use the recipe on the back of the bag of cranberries plus a splash of OJ. My family won't eat the whole berry style, only jellied so I push it through a wire strainer with the back of a spoon. It will be my strength training for the day. Exploit the beautiful color of the sauce by putting it in a white bowl, because it is a gorgeous dark pink red that the canned stuff can't compare to.

You have inspired me to make some and give it a try. My daughter said she is game for trying but wants a can in the house just in case..lol

Good article. Excellent resource for someone in control of the whole meal. For me, it is a reminder that portion control will be my salvation and that the side dishes that I can control are going to have to be as healthy as possible!
(I don't think my homemade cranberry sauce is really much healthier than the canned stuff--it just has less sodium and it is prettier. LOL)
