My favorite thing about SparkPeople? It's logical--no weird food rules, no low carb madness, no specifics being forced on me and no learning how to calculate "points" when the food labels all have calories and grams listed on them! Seriously, SP allows "everything in moderation" and always pushes the positive.
Not to mention the wonderful people we have here to root us on and the free workout videos, health, nutrition and fitness articles and SparkRecipes!
What's helping me the most? The nutrition and fitness trackers. When I started seeing the amount of calories I was consuming, I was finally able to start making informed decisions about what I put in my mouth--instead of just hoping I made the right choices. The fitness tracker helps me visualize what I am burning--I had no idea before how many calories I was burning, or how to make the most of my exercise.
If I am wearing a sportsbra and I end up with bruises, I must be working out!
